It's so dangerously close to something you'd hear if you mistakenly tuned into a "New Country" station (you know, sentiemtnal diddies about being a recovering substance abuser and a new Dad, or the like) that I'm almost embarassed to say I like it ...but I do!

I find Carbon Leaf's music to be lacking in something, can't say exactly what it is. The lead singer's voice grits on my ears so much, it's like he's trying way too hard.

This could be ok if they all got in the tour bus and took off while the singer is in the bathroom. Completely undistinguished voice. Come to think of it, the lyrics are pretty bland, too.

A lot of Carbon Leaf songs remind me of childhood, but the lyrics in this song especially so. Seems to me he's singing about nostalgia and being overwhelmed by childhood memories. I also like the harmony :)

I think that all of their songs are so poorly written. He sounds like he thinks that his lyrics are so profound, but they just aren't. I do not consider this art.

Honestly, I am trying to understand what Bill and the rest of you (apparently) see in this band, but I am just not seeing it. Carbon Leaf definitely gets the rotation on RP that is suitable to a solid fan favorite, but to me they are ho hum. I guess I will have to try harder to like them....
