Like the male and female vocal contrasts, along with the slinky syncopated percussion. Just a hint of afro-carribean rhythms here and there, and the bridge with the spacey reverb guitar. nice.

Yes Djavan is from Brazil one of my favourite performers of all time! Its not the name of a band, its his name he is a solo artist - a great one! Check out amazon.com and look for his recent live cd - you will see how much richness real Brazilian music has to offer!
