Starts out like an interesting intro to a Philip Glass tune and then, in typical Moby fashion, goes absolutely nowhere.

It certainly says something about this particular, cranky listener.

Yeah! he only had to use one finger and we'd be spared his ass-hattery
I enjoyed it. A great segue would be Rene Aubry,  Le Grande Cascade.

a 10 for me
love love love this track
love this album
Painful.

This would be good but that synth woodwind musical phrase sounds like a stuck record.

Laughs out loud. Kinda of oily even for Moby.
This would be good but that synth woodwind musical phrase sounds like a stuck record.  Over and over.

There was some other song where in comments somebody talked about Moby's music picking up a theme and not going anywhere with it, this seems to be one of them.
I love this song...
Love this track.

This really has nothing to do with Philip Glass! This is just Kitsch
love to be taken on a great heavenly journey
I came to comment because of the passing of Vangelis this week, then realized this is Moby. Def sampled off some early 1970s Vangelis though. Its cheesy now, but it was enough in the 70s to get me hooked on Electronic music.

boring me to death. It's a finger exercise on a piano and the worst possible synth sound. BAD music... Bad bad. like thinking you can release your practice jams on a record and you fans won't know the difference. who does it say more about... the group or its fans?

It's not even a finger practice. It's a programmed synth piano. I mean, he can hardly even play the guitar.
Wait. Moby's middle name is Melville?

Interesting too, the ratings between 1 & 5 total 19% of votes for this tune.  Maybe the folks who don't like the music also don't like the GIFs.
I'm still at a 7 on this one, nice ambience; LLRP

Nice!!
Jean-Michel Jarre: Oxygène.
But not as good.
This whole track is like a prelude to a Muse song.

Just Awful... Not sure how anyone could take pleasure in listening to this studio tripe... Leave it in your head Moby... {#Wall}
Should really lead into Feeling So Real as the two tracks are really meant to be together, but a classic in its own right.
"Hey now" from London Grammar.... and then... THIS!!!!
Moby sucks at extreme level, but even lower than his fans do.

Moby is "hit or miss" for me. ...this is a HIT!
Moby, what a dick!
Moby is a master at writing songs with an etherial feeling. They sweep me up.
God moving over the face of the waters
I was waiting for the song to start....
Not bad, Richard.
Muse!
I heard this and first thought is was Nils Frahm.

Stoner + Nerd...great combo!!

I'm thinking it says more about you.  Regardless, de gustibus non disputandum est.

Well, and on the Everything Is Wrong album, this song is immediately followed by "Feeling So Real". A really excellent transition. {#Hearteyes}
Unfortunately, not here in the radio playlist. Hymn ends and... nothing. :-(
Amazingly beautiful.
Awesome Beauty!!
A lovely start to the new year
Nice, very nice.

As a fellow nutmeger from CT, I've never really though too much of Moby...his stuff is all rather derivative...this track as well. I thought I was listening to early Vangelis or even Mike Oldfield..just don't think this guy is breaking much new ground. Style over substance I'd say.

Really are you comparing this guy to the great Oldfield? How many Oldfield's albums did you listen? Haven't sense, totally different music and styles.
Lots of interesting instrumental stuff coming across the speakers today - nice work, RP.
I like Moby *ducks flying missiles*
I slipped into a deep state of meditation many times while laying on the couch and listening to this album back in the day.
The last 2 minutes or so of that actually lasted over an hour in torture time.  Like  bad 2nd semester music student with a cheap Sanyo keyboard bad...

good stuff .

can't believe the hate for this.. i love this track.

Even the cover of the album is reminiscent of the Jarre album I wore out eons ago.
My heart leapt: "Jean Michel Jarre!"  OK, maybe I should check out this Moby guy.

...i really don't think that's fair to oldfield nor vangelis - moby's not playing in their league...
nice.  a true talent
This is such an under-appreciated album.  There are some real gems on it.  This is wonderful.

Cooool. I missed this the first time around. I didn't catch Moby until the later stuff!
I like it as a musical snippet, not sure how it holds up as a "song", but I do enjoy the progressions.

I think it's Glenn Gould but I don't know who Ultravox is. They probably sampled Glenn Gould too.
bo-ring.

I like this a lot. I'm proud to be the only one to give it an "8". I'm not all that familiar with Moby's music,It's on my musical to-do list, but if this cut a fair example to his work, I'm sure I won't regret the purchase.

C'mon Moby
