Would your love in all its finery
tear at the darkness all around me
until I can breathe again
until I believe again

'Cause I'm a train wreck waiting to happen
waiting for someone to come pick me up off the tracks
a wildfire born of frustration
born of the one love that gets me so high
I've no fear at all

Would your eyes like midnight fireflies
light up the trenches where my heart lies
until I can see again
to find my way back again

'Cause I'm a train wreck waiting to happen
waiting for someone to come pick me up off the tracks
a wildfire born of frustration
born of the one love that gets me so high
I've no fear at all

To fall so deep into you
lose myself completely
in your sweet embrace
all my pain's erased

From your mouth it's all that I wish
the mercy of your lips just one kiss
until I can breathe again
until I can sing again

'Cause I'm a train wreck waiting to happen
waiting for someone to come pick me up off the tracks
a wildfire born of frustration
born of the one love that gets me so high
I've no fear at all

To fall so deep into you
lose myself completely
in your sweet embrace
all my pain's erased

"Train wreck" is also a term for when musicians become so completely out of sync that everyone has to stop and start the song over from the beginning.

I'll second that.

have to admit i associate sara's voice with a period of FIERY INTENSITY in my life and every time i hear her sing i get knots in my stomach and want to turn it off but i CAN'T I CAN'T TURN AWAY JUST LIKE WATCHING A TRAIN WRECK hmmm i get it now it's like what they (they?) used to say about the great british actor sir alec guinness ... i would listen to sara singing the phone book short hair long hair no hair blue hair spiked hair no importa
Okay, I like a good deal of McLachlan's work--I think of it as part of my sappy side--and I concede she's always teetered on the edge of being a little too easy on the ears, if you know what I mean. This song in particular seems to wander into the land of easy listening, and loses my interest. So far what I've heard of this album hasn't inspired me to buy it, despite maybe two songs I enjoy a lot..
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Not really about the music, but: She looks way different with long hair.
this is a great song off a great album
