And don't I hold you like you want to be held?
And don't I treat you like you want?
And don't I love you like you want to be loved
And you're running away
What's your name
Like I'm in the way

And don't I hold you like you want to be held?
Don't I please you like you want?
And don't I love you like you want to be loved
And you're running away
What's your name
Like I'm in the way
We waste too much time

Sometimes I hold you right
Nice and tight
To Me
Most times
On account it's based on need
Not selfish greed or pride
Don't I

Don't I
Don't I
Don't I
Don't I hold you like you want?

I like the version of this song the (later) album "Per Second, Per Second, Per Second...Every Second" much better than this one. FWIW, it also appears in the soundtrack to the movie Elizabethtown.
psycho/stalker quality to the lyrics. scary.
Sounds like Josh Rouse and Adam Schmitt had a child.
Good grief ! This is weak....
Tender music for delicate airs - all those slow tempi, magic world
Definitely a shoe-gazer, but a tasty one at that. Yum. I liked that one.
Very pleasant.
:-$
I always used to love hearing this on a local indie radio station. I am so happy with the amount of seemingly obscure songs that make appearances on RP...especially since the said station has since gone off the air.
