Through a different kind of silence
I'm waiting, I'm wasting
Into the road of sadness
I'm walking without you

Hello, hello, hello, hello
Is it gonna last?
Why don't you come and take me with you?
And so I know you had to go
I'm dreaming of the past
An echo of the years we passed through

Asleep in your arms, I'm drifting
I'm falling in sorrow
Dead to the world, you left me
In footsteps, I follow

Hello, hello, hello, hello
Is it gonna last?
Why don't you come and take me with you?
And so I know you had to go
I'm dreaming of the past
An echo of the years we passed through

Hello, hello, hello, hello
Is it gonna last?
Why don't you come and take me with you?
And so I know you had to go
I'm dreaming of the past
An echo of the years we passed through

jk:  Please explain.  You have Porcupine Tree and Blackfield songs rated at 10.

Again!

Wow, this set needs to be reshuffled.
"hello... hello..."

"The Wall," anyone?

I like Porcupine Tree, but this sounds too much like Many Too Many for me to enjoy it.  I also find his flimsy vocals a bit irritating at times.
Hello, hello, do I sound a bit like a poor mans Pink Floyd, Hello Hello.
The instrumentals are plodding, and the singing...just horrible!!!

Echt, ääh? Der Kracha, äääh? Geil, wa?

Blackfield play in the tradition of Floyd. That we can dismiss them without regret!

BORING MUSIC FROM TIMES LONG GONE!

PS

Was ist ein "frei republik"?

yah man das war LIVE der Kracher  in Aschaffenburg Blackfield  echt geil!!!  TOP !!
I love almost anything by Steven Wilson, this one is dreamy.
I love pretty much love everything Steve Wilson, but on later Blackfield albums you can pick out which songs were written by Avi - the weak ones. Not a fan of Avi at all.

I don't know well either Porcupine Tree nor Blackfield, but this song reminds me of Porcupine Tree...

Great song, great discovery.
Well, the label looks impressive.  Nice tune, too
I love pretty much all of Steven Wilson's stuff that I've heard, but he ruined the new Anathema cd in my opinion.  Of course, he was "only" the producer and didn't write the material, but I much preferred the band the way it was before he started messing with it.

Great stuff as I struggle with my own creative limits.

My best to all those who love and respect the work that Steven Wilson and colleagues do for us.  -westslope

Hilarious.
Porcupine Tree and Blackfield are the same guy?  No wonder I dislike both of them with similar intensity.  I feel much better that two groups didn't independently come up with this depressing, noisy sludge.

...hey, it's steven wilson morning on radio paradise!..

No kidding! Here is Steve's 2008 Calendar (in a nutshell)

January/February- finish recording/mixing No-Man's new album Schoolyard Ghosts (due in May)

March- finish mixing PT's live acoustic in store performance We Lost The Skyline (already released}

February/March- finish the remastering and new 5.1 mix of Lightbulb Sun (already released)

April/May- PT gigs in Australia for the first time ever and some European Festivals

Summer- More European Festivals with PT(also taping a new PT Live double album and working on a new PT concert DVD- except in August while Gavin is touring with King Crimson).

Fall/Winter- producing the new Orphaned Land album, finishing his own first solo album, writing material for the next PT album, I'm sure I'm forgetting 47 other things he has going this year

He's a madman

Yes, magnificently{#Yell}

From Halo to Hello

Outstanding chorus.
Hello my PT/Blackfield friends I wish that guitar at the end went on a bit longer.

Wilson is something of a musical workaholic- PT is clearly his "main" band- then there is Blackfield(with Israeli singer Aviv Geffen), No Man (with Tim Bowness), Bass Communion (his ambient drone stuff), and IEM (Incredible Expanding Mindfuck) which is his Krautrock influenced stuff. I think he works about 22 hours a day LOL
My lord, I'd give my firstborn to have that kind of creative output. Respect.
Another album that I'll have to buy. Thanks a lot, Bill! :)
A few minutes ago we had Porcupine Tree: Halo. Now we have Blackfield: Hello. Hello, Halo!
You should check out the Blackfield video for the song Blackfield- very cool It's by Lasse Hoile who does so much of Porcupine Tree's graphics and video stuff (and coincidentally is the scary lookin guy on the cover of In Absentia that everyone always cries about). He's this enormous Scandinavian multimedia artist that the band refers to as "the Yeti" LOL And the "Blackfield Live in NYC" DVD is very fun too. I recommend it for anyone that enjoys the few Blackfield songs that get airplay here.
I saw an oustanding YouTube video of this song done live....Hello Hello Hello S.A.
Oh man this threw me, at first i was positive it was blackfield, but then that guitar kicked in and i thought, "Oh, I'm dumb, that's floyd" and i look, and its BLACKFIELD!! gah. Oh well, now i know
As I understand it, Steve Wilson is the singer for both Blackfield and Porcupine Tree. Are they concurrently producing, or did one precede the other?

Bill likes SW, doesn't he? Halo about 20 minutes ago, and now Hello. Sounds good to me!

But most excellent when played five songs later. Dreamy. I love it. Own both Blackfield CDs now and highly recommend them.
Hello Blackfield! Please continue to play in this way!
Not to be confused with Halo

SW does Blackfield (and other side projects) while in-between PT projects

This is precisely why I love RP. I doubt I ever would have heard this song on traditional radio. Thanks, Bill.

Thinking about how much these guys reminded me of Porcupine Tree! So cool.
Great stuff.
PinkTramp?
MEW is cooler -- sounds better too. This still deserves a 7...
First time hearding this and I am really digging it. I like the slow, somewhat dark feel of the music. Would like to hear more from the album!
Turn away from dirges, turn away from mournful drones punctuated by a sadly trite guitar.
New Blackfield album coming out end of this year, first of next, I believe.
Most excellent. Oh Yes. Most excellent.
reminds me in pink floyd.
I've warmed up to this record a bit more recently. It was a little too dark for my taste at first...
Never heard this but I like it!!!!!!

Yes, quite similar.

Good album, if a bit dark. I submitted the title track, Blackfield, some time ago, but it was rejected. :(
Blackfield is a collaboration between Israeli singer songwriter Aviv Geffen and Porcupine Tree's Steven Wilson
