I walk a lonely road
The only one that I have ever known
Don't know where it goes
But it's home to me and I walk alone
Today is gonna be the day
That they're gonna throw it back to you

I walk this empty street
On the boulevard of broken dreams
Where the city sleeps
And I'm the only one and I walk alone
By now you should've somehow
Realized what you gotta do
I walk alone I walk alone
I don't believe that anybody
Feels the way I do about you now
I walk alone I walk a-

My shadow's the only one that walks beside me
My shallow heart's the only thing that's beating
Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me
'Till then I walk alone

Every day I wake up and it's Sunday
Whatever's in my eye won't go away
The radio is playing all the usual
What's a Wonderwall anyway

Backbeat the word was on the street
That the fire in your heart is out
I'm sure you've heard it all before
But you never really had a doubt
I don't believe that anybody feels
The way I do about you now

I'm walking down the line
That divides me somewhere in my mind
On the border line of the edge
And where I walk alone
Today is gonna be the day
That they're gonna throw it back to you

Read between the lines
What's f**ked up and everythings all right
Check my vital signs to know I'm still alive
And I walk alone
Today is gonna be the day
That they're gonna throw it back to you
I walk alone I walk alone
By now you should've somehow
Realized what you gotta do
I walk alone I walk a-

And all the roads we have to walk along are winding
And all the lights that lead us there are blinding
There are many things that I would
Like to say to you
I don't know how

I walk this empty street
On the boulevard of broken dreams
Today is gonna be the day
That they're gonna throw it back to you
I walk this empty street
On the boulevard of broken dreams
By now you should've somehow
Realized what you gotta do
Where the city sleeps
And I'm the only one and I walk a-

Because maybe
My shadow's the only one that walks beside me
You're gonna be the one who saves me
My shallow heart's the only thing that's beating
You're gonna be the one who saves me
Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me
'Till then I walk alone

Sing with me,(Sing!) sing for the year (Sing It!)
Sing for the laughter, sing for the tear (Comeon!)
Sing with me,just for today
Maybe tomorrow, the good Lord will take you away

I do prefer DJ Lobsterdust's take: DJ Lobsterdust - EasyWall (The Commodores vs. Oasis)

Green Day So much better than that whining  wonderwall, sounds like he's spitting into the microphone.

Nope
On the upside: it does come to an end.

Please describe "what kind of thing" this is.  Once you share, I will be able to determine if I approve or not, cause I don't rightly know what this is!  ;)
This achieves nothing, except irritaton.
I don't think I enjoy Party Ben's work.
Original artists aside. What is this artist trying to accomplish here, aside from aggravating me and quite a few others it seems. I really don’t understand this “art”. Its not up to me to qualify is such but it is up to me whether i listen to it or not. NOT!
Something's wrong with my RP feed
This is truly awful.
Neatly done, and much less annoying than either, er, donor song.

Party on, Ben!
It says:
Released: null

Maybe an omen.
Oasis is horrible but this takes the band to even lower depths. Bill must be skipping his meds today.
Nice bimodal distribution on the ratings :)
Party Ben is listed as an Artist?  WTF?
I don't get it..
Holy Crap! I mean... literally? I don't even know! It's kinda cool, tho. Nice segue into Sneaker Pimps.
Man I used to listen to this mash up so much! Surprised to hear it on RP! Awesome!
I always enjoy a good mash-up. Haters gonna hate. #braincandy #evolutioncontrolcommittee #bootiemashupSF
I hate Oasis! worst Beatles tribute band ever!!
Latest comments are 11 yrs old now. The song is still here. Like it or not, it looks more like classics now.
I think this is dashed clever.
One half of me quite liked this but the other half didn't really approve of the mongrelization of some cracking songs. Others obviously feel the same as if you look at the Rating Distribution graph 1's and 7's are both prominent.
Great mash up. Please play more of them!
I ripped the headphones from my head as soon as I heard the first notes of the crap that is BoBD. After realizing a couple minutes later that this song is a mashup, I listened more, only to come to the conclusion that it's still pretty awful.
I don't think I like this - but I just got over the stomach flu though and am having a hard time with equilibrium. This song funks me out. Like the new Beatles re-mixes.

I'm with you. Weird, but oddly fun.
if you dig mashups and haven't heard of The Arbiters (They Are Biters) you need to check them out. https://arbiters.multiply.com/
I liked it. 'Specially the end.
several teenagers in one house with competing i-pods....
Icky poo.

Too strong !!!!
I like this much better than the original. 7 (might move up). Also a great transition from Raconteurs, IMO
nice. i've been trying to convince people that green day ripped off oasis. now i cannot be refuted. still, i'm not sure it was worth having to sit through green day's garbage... again.

It might well have been.

I don't dislike the originals, and this improves on them with the mash.

Have a broken day! Party Ben - Boulevard Of Broken Songs The Raconteurs - Broken Boy Soldier Iron & Wine and Calexico - Burn That Broken Bed R.L. Burnside - Everything Is Broken
Party Ben rocks.
damn, that was funny
I like good mashups, and this was a great one.
I'd just changed my rating from 4 to 6 when they brought in Aerosmith's "Dream On" at the end. I like "Dream On", but it just didn't fit at all, IMO. So now I'm changing it to a 3.

Eh, I dunno...I mean you can do this with just about any pop songs if you try hard enough and pick the right ones...so parts share smiliarities...but Green Day and Travis are talented and the songs aren't even bad...but when you combine them to try to show how bad they are, it just makes for something I don't really wanna listen to again...good transition from 'Warning' though
I don't know that the intent was to "show how bad they are", but rather to just do something humorous with songs that share similar tempos and cord structures. I like it.

Tha point is.... they sound exactly the same. Homogenized. Processed. Cardboard. MMMM. Yummy. Not!
Along those lines, NPR did an amusing story about a guy who superimposed two Nickelback songs to show that band is plagiarizing itself. It's pretty well done.
Wow, a 3-fer of some of my favorite songs/artists. Feels like a triple-decker ice cream of different flavors; too much to digest! I like them better one at a time.

This really illustrates that. It's a full on collision of mediocrity.
Truly an example of the sum being greater than the parts. I'm glad I heard it before the lawyers get it pulled from the air.

...and the Master Mixers! Who can forget them! Used to spin their tunes occasionally when I dj'd at a very small town am (1000 watt powerhouse) radio station. They still around?

Ok, blech.
Cubing annoyance
Yikes...
Now *THAT* was entertaining... don't even care for any of them individually , but add a daring genius mixter/trixter and ...YEAHHH!!! You Party Ben! A daring 8. First hearing.
Damn...analog...dial...stuck...between...stations. Where's my XM radio?

First of all, what doest "fit" mean? Second, I'm a much bigger fan of the Travis song than the Oasis. But I must concur -- what the hell is this?? And when do we hear "Boyz In Da Hood?"
The best thing I can find to say is - that was mostly strange. Except for the Dream On bit at the end. That little surprise gave me a laugh.
What the hell did I just listen to?
Actually, the Aerosmith sample at the end is really a sample of Eminem sampling Aerosmith! Notice the heavier beat and the little bit of extra yelling. I think it's safe to say that this is the most of Eminem we will ever hear on RP -- at least, I hope it is!
Reminds me of an old Trek episode where Data was listening to fourteen or so songs at once. It worked for a laugh there. These mashups are generally annoying as hell in reality.
agreed with coding_to_music - imagining them all on stage at once makes me a little nauseous. Chances are high that I could lob a rotten tomato up there on stage and hit someone though.
Big improvement on the Green Day, which the alt station in MN has been playing far too much. Love the Travis song, wish there was more of it. This definitely gets a higher rating than unmolested "Blvd" would.
Very clever! Nice mix.
Not sure if the Travis stuff fits in as well as the Oasis stuff. It's cool, though.
This song provides a useful service for those who dislike Oasis, Travis, Aerosmith, Green Day to give it a low rating at one single time. ;-) I liked it though! More interesting eclectic stuff like this please!
I like.
Interesting...... the Aerosmith bit at the end was kind of neat. Still, I think Party Ben has a bit too much time on his/their hands.
All great songs...together revolting
You can *legally* download this song HERE
well that gets the toe tapping, eh?
I've been listening to the Green Day CD for the past 3 days, and for for 30 seconds I thought I was playing RP and the CD at the same time accidentally. I'm sitting here scratchin' my head, going "no...there's no #$@# CD in my machine... what the F is goin' on??" ;-)
I am grooving to this
wow, this is sweet!
Interesting I like interesting....
Uploaded somewhere around December 15th, 2004 This is a Mash-Up of Green Day vs. Oasis vs. Travis
