In the isle of dreaming
I ring the temple bell
And with the setting of the sun
The time for dreaming is begun
I hear angels in the river
I see dancers in the fire
And with the silence of my desire

Another superb segue from Goldfrapp.  Chapeau!
Good choice Bill. Great early morning music - lively but not overbearing.

Actually, RP has played Tonto. Isn't Tonto the analog synth on some of
Stevie Wonder's songs...?-)

WOW! I have one of her CDs from years ago. I recognized her voice immediately.

If you start playing Gentle Giant, Amazing Blondel, Tu'u or Tonto's Expanding Headband, I will have completed my trip to the nether regions of audio gone by. All hail RP!

Frankly, I don't see how anybody could miss it!!! And yet... :/

Good God, can't anybody use a few of the same notes without a PF comment? It is a creative work of art to be enjoyed on its own. I found it to sound quite unique. 8 for me.
Re: Pink Floyd, Who cares:if you don't like it ,listen elsewhere. Get a LIFE.
Have I mentioned lately how much I adore RP thank you bill

Yes, I think so, Proc....although oddly enough, this time, it DOES kinda sound like part of The Wall.  Maybe just barely....I'm sure no lawsuits will be needed.

I didn't scroll down far enough to see your comment.  There's at least half of the song in there...
I'm hearing the same chord progression as "Empty Spaces" from Pink Floyd's The Wall.
The worst part was the bit where I thought it ended and then it started again. Such a tease.

I really enjoyed this. Is that hammer dulcimer?

Or maybe a santoor?

Her Wikipedia page
identifies her as a "hammered dulcimer player", but there could be other instruments in this of course.
ROCK AND ROLL!!!!!!!!
AWESOME

I only wish that I could score this lower than a "1" — I can't imagine any situation other than whacked out at the dentists office on gas where I could even remotely enjoy hearing this.  Sure, it's pretty, I guess, but damn...  really?  on RP?  it's not nap time yet, is it?

I went to the dentist's last Wednesday. {#Cheesygrin} And go back tomorrow. Thank you,  I forgot about gas.  I'll ask tomorrow.

No! Definitely not, else I'd hit PSD within microseconds. This is a beautiful, ethereal and, yes, dreamlike piece with definite Celtic hints and I just lurve the hammered dulcimer. 8 from the enchanted Nottingham jury.
Yes, pair her up with Mannheim Steamroller and give her a PBS special!

I just finished watching the Game Of Thrones series, and this music reminds me of how I feel after watching an episode - tormented, tortured, but ultimately satiated.
Nice follow up to Agnes Obel's Riverside.  Well done BillG!  {#Cheers}

definitely empty spaces in the beginning.

Yep. There's also a bodhran towards the end to add a Celtic flavour. What a beautiful voice and haunting song. 8 from the transported Nottingham jury.
...Bill, I think you are sad today... isn't so?
Wonderful to hear on such a sad day for me

I found her after delving into Loreena....Nice.....gotta check this cd out, and go dig up my old one of hers!
I heard this tune on RP and bought this CD as I have her first one already. SADLY....I wasn't impressed. This song stands out each time I hear it here, but the album left me neutral - neither great nor horrendous. I gave the CD to a friend. SIGH.... :|

Intro somewhat sounds like Diablo 1 (Townmusic)! For those of you that have played that game.

Love her earlier albums...in the genre of Loreena McKennitt, but unique enough and a bit less adventurous, focusing more on the instrument technique. Very definitive vocal stamp.
Same here. Nice!

its the time changes that make it Eastern European - from triplets to dupplets. And the pentatonic melody that makes it so folky. great music.

No
Haunting and sorrowful. Makes me want to rip my shirt while sobbing uncontrollably. More!

Perhaps not my kind of music, but that is the strength of this station - you never now come on. But definetly one additional song in my ever expanding list of potential artists to check up. Also, since I live in country where music on the radio is defined by noice and not music I'm ever thankfull for RP!
