Absolutely far from their best output - their first 3 albums are stonking though (25th anniversary of Dig Your Own Hole as I type!), and there are tracks from the subsequent albums that are awesome, their back catalogue as a whole is pretty damn great - in terms of electronica, they're up there, just behind Underworld and punching with Orbital for me.

A tad tough to think which of their tracks would fit in here at RP, but for me I think their collaboration with Wayne Coyne on The Golden Path would be a slam-dunk 👍

I totally agree, but I feel they're on top of most electronica acts.  Simply brilliant, I feel!   They've made so much original music it's quite unbelievable!
These guys have made soooo much music, yes, music, and I love them!  Plenty room for more Chemical Brothers on here as far as I'm concerned!

11 years on, and with advances in AI and deepfake technology, now they can.

you "this is only computers so it could not be good music" people are so narrowminded and boring.
and of course there is influence from kraftwerk, tangerine dream and so on. there could be more boring influences, and the result is just fine 4 me

ya, 4 at best

Two feet here.
This was a nice transition from the vintage Deep Purple.  Space rock to space synth made me look up and say "Wait what just happened there?"
It sounds like "NEU" in an actually sound, new syths etc.

Exactly.  I gave this a 1 last time but I've learned my lesson.  Thanks, foot.
My snootiness about electronica is betrayed by my tapping left foot.
Reminds me of the Thirteenth Floor Elevators
I like it.....
Great Song from a great Album. Clear 9

I'm just amazed by how this guy keeps time with the song!
Which came first?  This or the hideous Push the Button (by the Sugababes) as I can hear shreds of that one here...
Peppy!  I'll give it a 7
In my head I’m going “Oh baaaaybeee… You're having a bad dream."

Keep it going, I'll confess.

Don't think so and no one listening either. #1

Wow, I hear the Strokes' "Modern Age" all over this.. still fine to listen to.
Hmmm, about 7 minutes too long.

Interesting; a lot of Kraftwerk influence here. I'd much rather hear the original.

CB's sound ranges widely but I think the Kraftwerk reference is good.  I hadn't noticed that.

I really like this sound.  Getting me going here at work this morning.
I like electronica but this is a waste of time.....
I got a copy of this CD after hearing this song on RP.  I think I like about half the cuts on the disk.  This one is a favorite.  I like the way the theme travels.

Interesting; a lot of Kraftwerk influence here. I'd much rather hear the original.

I predict this song will be condensed to 30 seconds and licensed to a car or bank commercial
I like this one a lot.

What a brilliant description.    And apt.  This track gives me the same sort of blissed-out feeling I used to get from their "One Too Many Mornings".   So the Chemical Brothers must have this thing about sunrises.   Must be all those years of late-night DJ sets at summer festivals.

Does this end?!?  4 —> 2

Yes, good catch {#Yes} same basic riff

OH! They use this song in the movie Smily Face

What a brilliant segue from Euphoria - I never noticed the join. Nice one :)
This whole album is great... best since the first!!
R2D2 Rocks out to this one.  {#Bananapiano}

I agree, it was too long... parts of it were likeable, other parts were just wasteful repetitive or sonically dreary synth programming... Sounded an awful lot like early New Order.

I'd like it better if it were not quite as long. It got annoying after a while.
I'm hearing The Strokes' "The Modern Age" from "Is This It?". Anybody else?
. . .not as good as some of their other stuff. . .
This is really a nice departure from the rest of their stuff. Solid 7
*snore*
Takes a little while, but I really love this song. The album is really pretty good except for a few misses.

It's an "Album Only" at iTunes. Boooooo! No, I don't want the entire album.
Amazon MP3, but it's $1.94, I guess because of the length. I bought several CB and they are in heavy rotation - good road music.

...do the chemical brothers do much sampling?..i hear so many echoes of david bridie in this that it's an uncanny coincidence otherwise...
Good choice. Now all I need is some Daft Punk...
kinda nice. the problem with the ChemBros...........interesting ideas which ultimately fall apart. The train runs out of steam (or track)
This is so much better than that other Chemical Brothers deal that's played so much.
MUST . . . STOP . . . TAPPING . . . FOOT!
Strange... not sure I like it.
Nice!
Smooth as ever. Love the Chemicals.
surface to air, goes like a missile
Love Chemical Brothers! More more more
A very very very good song, I love it!!! The dust brothers =D one of my favorit big beat groups!!!
best song i've heard off this album. "shake, break, bounce" and "push the button" don't come anywhere close to this goodness! i'd buy this one as a 12 inch single in a heartbeat. :)
Maybe someday, when it grows up, it can be a Pink Floyd wannabee track.
I CAN FEEL THE COLORS!

I'd say go ahead and get it, as this is a cool album, but it has 2 horrendous duds, "Left Right" and "Close Your Eyes", albeit conveniently in tandem on the CD.

Me too. When this track started, I was going to complain that it was very headache-inducing, but then it got a little better, and worked its way up to status. An improvement, I suppose.
A little techno. Sounds like something the Ecstasy generation would groove to. A few compelling bits though.
great album, great cover art.
Where IS that glow stick of mine?!? --> 4
...i almost thought i heard a sample from david bridie's come around...
This is a nice, smooth slide to the finish of Push the Button after the (mostly) deliriously fun tracks which precede it.

The beginning sounds quite like something by OSI. Fine driving music though.

This is why I love RP! What a nice change in pace for my workday. I love Chemical Bros., this being one of the tamer songs I've ever heard by them.
Jeez - my brain is about to explode and this is TAME? Oy!
Well, now, this is fun!
most excellent! really does give a surface to air visual ... crazy
I was about to give it the old 'Mommy, make it stop!' until it finally pulled out of that annoying intro and grew into something that made me realize it was just background music to my mundane tasks here at work, and then I wasn't scared anymore.
The start really made my ears hurt and I nearly hit mute, then the main body of the number kicked in and I was glad I didn't. Not bad, though not as distintive/dangerous as some of their work - 6 from the Nottingham jury.
