You may find you're all alone
All around you not a sound
Drifting, falling on your own again
The walls of cold and grey surround
They surround

You may find you're by yourself
Friends have all grown up and gone away
Drifting, falling you can't stop yourself
The walls of cold and grey surround
They surround

Drifting, falling
Watching all your dreams roll by
They roll by
Somewhere out there

She sees you and she sighs
My, my, my, my, my
You may find you're all alone
All around you not a sound

Drifting, falling on your own again
The walls of cold and grey surround
They surround

Drifting, falling
Watching all your dreams roll by

Sax has Men at Work vibes.
I hear some Roxy Music and ABC influence in their sound here.
3rd The Ocean Blue Song today,  Not that I'm complaining.
Always love the sax.
First time hearing that song, but now I can't get that New Kids on the Block song out of my head.
Love the saxophone on this song.  Thanks for playing The Ocean Blue, RP.  Brings back fond memories of college during that era of great college radio (imo).
Thanks for spinning this band!  I don't think I've heard this Quite Likeable track before, and I've heard other The Ocean Blue tracks on RP.

Not commercial enough even to get much airplay on alt-rock back when this was released.  But it works and holds up, so thanks for keeping The Ocean Blue in the rotation!
Wow, 2 Ocean Blue songs in the same day. No complaints here.
love the dissonance of this-something that is not easy to pull off, but this is tight and has a so dif use of voices. One actually has to think with this.  Not sure it is an equitable comparison, but I thought of Amazing Blondel when I heard this. Again, RP provokes, evokes, stimulates and gets us thinkin'.
Thank you, Bill & Rebecca!! After reading comments from earlier The Ocean Blue tune, I'm glad to hear another!! Never heard of them but, yet again, thnx to RP, you have broadened my horizon!! God bless and, Merry Christmas!!

Hadn't heard this song or about this band, but so soft and sweet, and yes, similar to the English Beat in a very good way: guitar, piano, sax and even vocal.  Had it been by EB in their heyday, would have been a hit.
Wow, no comments at all for soooooo many years. Pity. One of my favorite bands and a shame they put out a record so infrequently.
I like the upbeat sounds of this; kinda English Beat, especially on a perfect sunny day that helps us to get past The Flood of the Century...
Stop hating you haters.  this song is great
Great 80's music, thanks for playing this.
Weak, very, very weak.

Sounds like someone who wished they were XTC but were not.  I am normally a sucker for a bit of sax which is what I think that is but I think I'll put this one back where I got it from.
They are "The" Ocean Blue.  Sorry, I will leave now.  Great song, great band.
Such a great album!
That´s true, when I first listen the sax, it automatically reminded me Kid Abelha!

Excellent playlist for hours and hours on this sunny Sunday! Wish the weekday plays were this good.

Love their sound—wistful, nostalgic. "Cerulean" is a great album.

Um, you're my age. What were you doing that caused you to miss the 80's?  I hope you were working, raising a family, maybe in the military.... (I was working, but I still had time to listen to music.) {#Mrgreen}

I thought this was Men At Work until I looked at the playlist.

I guess it doesn't really sound much like Colin Hay, but anyway...

The proper album art...
thank God I missed the 80's.
nice recovery from that bruno coulais ballad
Ocean Blue is great and I just love their tunes!
Wow! I haven't heard this song in.... when was it released?.... 21 years! Makes me want to hear more!

An Ocean Blue cover band! Most excellent. All hail Obscurus Rex!

Yeah...One hundred blue men.

This is a classic tune!{#Drummer}

However it is not on the "waterworks" album, its on the self entitled album:

You say that like it's a bad thing? {#Daisy} Haircut 100 had some great songs.  Love Plus One and Snow Girl in particular were fantastic.  I'm going to have to dig out Pelican West now and give it a listen.

as a fellow representative of the nostalgia consitituency .. i also love this band .. was thrilled to find a $3  or $4 used CD a few years ago when I was still buying CDs .. having said that .. anything more than $5 might have been more than I was willing to pay for nostalgia ..
Wow!  That was total $*!^

i disagree. 80s pop was Cyndi Lauper and Chaka Khan. thanks for playing.

I have this on CD.  The rest of it is this weak too.

And still, I was kind of glad to hear it here. It gives... perspective?
Sounds like "Haircut 100"
I like it. It reminds me of The Church. Fresh and exhilarating. Of course these days, most people don't actually play their instruments. LOL. Keep this in the playlist and whatever else these guys put out. Sorry to the rest you guys who really don't like the sounds of the 1980's. I'm all for change but I like power music. Shoot for the stars and you might hit one. -Big Will

You know I hated 80's music...and I still do...and anything that reminds me of that pop crap.
The The
For all the genre mixing, I think I like 99% of what gets played on Radio Paradise. This would be an example of the other 1%.

Funny.. I thought it sounded like the music XM plays around their breaks in songs... ArbiterOfGoodTaste wrote:

Nice cut from the depths of Davy Jone's Locker (the expression, not the album.)
Good memories of college.

Love the Ocean Blue from Cerulean days. Thanks for the listen!
I absolutely love the Ocean Blue, and have been a fan ever since the album Cerulean was released back in 1991. Let's hear more! Also, this song is not from the Waterworks EP (which was released in 2004). It's from the Ocean Blue's self titled first album that was released in 1989.
I like it for the 80's flasback. It kinda makes me think of the Psychadelic Furs, but with Morrisey as the front man.
Makes me tap the feet

i didn't hear any brass in this song. that is a wind instrument you're referring to. give us more. great set, Bill - Hendrix, Gary Numan, Bowie, & The Ocean Blue Thanks!
Au Contrare!! Not their best song but Ocean Blue have a great relaxed sound. Worthy of being played on RP.
