Who's that over there
Looks like he don't care
Almost lost his mind
Too much working overtime

Gotta get out every night
City gates are open wide
Gotta get away from here
Take that car and push that gear

He don't need no one
He's the rising sun
He won't shed no tears
Got no time to break down here

Hey

He's going nowhere fast
Just a piece of dirty trash
All alone, by his self
He don't need nobody else

Walking down the street
So much going on
People everywhere
Look at him but they don't care

See that world out there
Make it go away
You can't change his mind
Too much working overtime

Hey
Overtime
Hey
Overtime
Hey
Overtime
Hey
Overtime
Hey
Overtime
Overtime
Overtime
Overtime

He crossed that picket line
In trouble all the time
Where did it all go wrong
House music all night long

All those girls out there
Looking for the one
Do they really care
Could they just be having fun

He did all he could
Tried to get it right
Somewhere he went wrong
Too much working overtime

Hey
Overtime
Hey
Overtime
Hey
Overtime
Hey
Overtime
Hey
Overtime
Overtime

BillG / other: can someone explain to me how RP says number of plays in last 30 days = 0, but this was played 2 days ago? Love RP!
Not my fav New Order song but, BillG, please keep digging thru their catalogue. There’s much more and much better
Maybe I'm hearing this different now that I am actually working OVERTIME this very moment....though those guitars sound great, so that 8 fits.  Long Live RP and the RP ROCK MIX (much needed during OT!!

I like it - different for them - a bit of The Fall in the sound...

Started off sounding like 54-40 to me.  I like it!
Nice guitar work.

This does not really cut it, sort whiny and repetitive at the same time.

Yep, you're not wrong there, but the vocals on this suck the big one. I'm a New Order fan and have a few of their albums, but I really can't be doing with the singing on this number.
Man, I dropped out of music listening for a long time, but this is certainly not the New Order I used to groove to. It's OK

New Order rocking out? Nice..
What a great, rocking song! I saw lots of folks working Over-time in my 20 years in Japan. Wasn't me, though!

Agreed.
Have these guys been hanging out with Gomez?

Might have something to do with the singing Sirens that lured sailor to crash on the rocks of their island? Maybe?

Gotta love it when a song like this comes up in your 12th straight hour of work...
wow. this is the only New Order song I've ever DISLIKED. Weird. Maybe I just need to get used to their "new sound"...
This song is fantastic as 99% of New Order songs are... This reminds me ALOT of Lightning Seed's "Crowdpleaser" for some reason. I love it!

This jams! I've never heard New Order before, although I've heard of them for a long time.
This song is definitely a different direction for the band, but I don't think Barney has the voice to really carry off this style of singing. It needs someone with more "oomph".
Never thought those 1987 guys could do things like this! Very good!
Their name is program! Great song!
sounds like a sub sub becoming doves style transition...
The kids are alright.

This is New Order? This is New Order? Really? Wow - talk about a stylistic shift. Not bad, though.
Came over to say about the same.

Sounds like his work with Johnny Marr (in Electronic) is wearing off on Bernard Sumner here. Nice sound.

Not bad. Not bad at all. Never would have guessed it as New Order.

Wow. New Order. Saw them at the Syria Mosque in Pittsburgh in 1985. This is different. Of course, this is 20 years later.
The last album before this one had some of that rougher guitar as well...
Not to shabby I'm tapping toes!!! Thanks RP
