I wouldn't die for your sins
Cause what if I lose and you win?
Friendship is all that we have in the end
But I wouldn't die for your sins

I love you with all but I can
Bleed from the palm of my hand
I'll see you in heaven if we both get in
Cause I wouldn't die for your sins

No I wouldn't die for your sins
No I wouldn't die for your sins

The truth isn't so hard to see
Come to me, I'll set you free
My brothers and sisters I'd let you in
But I wouldn't die for your sins

No I wouldn't die for your sins
No I wouldn't die for your sins

Reminds me of Souled American, an alt country band from the late 1980s.

I like it. 7
Play It again.
Love it, love it, love it. Just plain, old good music. I wouldn't die for anyone else's sins either! I'm not even gonna die for mine... :)
Nasty sounding gee-tar. I'll give it a yehaw!
Saw these guys a few years ago, opening i think for the Dandy Warhols. Very unremarkable.
Thought it would never end.

Nice! I'd never heard this song or this band either before! Thanx to the uploader, and to Bill for playing it! Hope he plays it more!

File under "friggin' duh". The "banal lyrics" are part of the show, folks. Think a group standing in old tuxes in a lake are trying to write $20 word lyrics? Hmmm, Clem Snide. Hmmm, again. Not a bad ditty. Likeable anyway.
Well I wouldn't die for your sins, either! <-(
Catchy tune. Banal lyrics.
One of my uploads made it!!!! Been trying to get them on RP for a while. Country Gospel is odd intro they are more, as they put it, art country. I have seen them live about 15 times. They made a comment recently in concert about a review "Jane" magazine did on their current album. Eef, the lead singer, was amused they thought they were a christian band. And then said would a christian group play this?" And broke into their song "Jews for Jesus Blues".
Oh man I LOVE this band. I was just tickled pink to hear it on Radio Paradise!!!! These guys are G-rrreat. All of their albums are strong and there's nothing misleading about this track. Saw them live in Glasgow, Scotland of all places with another fellow named Andrew Bird opening for them. He's great as well. I like how they were introduced as "country gospel"- strange. But hey- I have no idea what else to call it. So check it out. My FAVORITE is their cover of Ritchie Valens' "Oh Donna". Oh oh oh.. . .just thinking about it makes me feel tender and so damn honest and real.
Thank you, Mr. Uh Clem. Please follow the blue vibrating line to the Hall of Presidents.
I like this. Fits perfectly with the "Taking Faith" forum.
