Trivia:
the Evolution Control Committee got into some hot water with this release back in '00 (or was it '99?) with CBS's legal hounds over this release. At first they went after the (IMO clever) sampling of Dan Rather's newscasts, but in the end I think they got nailed for using the opeing and closing theme music of the news show. The band released this version and 3 more either on their own website (or maybe it was another band who hosted it for them??).
As for AC/DC covers, there's nothing quote like the banjo riffs in Moxy Fruvous's take on "You Shook Me All Night Long". The banjo is such an underrated instrument, just ask Steve Martin.
Just saw Dan Rather on the Emmys last night, so this was really timely. Never heard it before. Exceptionally well done.

I shrieked like a fucking little girl when I heard this start up. I heard it on a local college station a year and a half ago, and could never remember who did it. Spent the year telling everyone about it, but no one knew what I was speaking of. Finally, genius I am, I realized I could call the station and ask about it. Even after having the information, however, I could never find a proper copy. Thank you, RP, for letting me hear this again.
Nice for comic relief. I like back in black every once in a while, nobody does the big thumping drums and power chords quite like that.
Interesting... I feel AC/DC in there too.
Perfect follow-up to "What's the Frequency Kenneth." RP outdoes itself in the Clever Programming category. Such a segue seems to be the only valid purpose for this song to exist though.

Don't mind thinking, Darbuka. But I have issues with someone else cramming thoughts into my head by means of a rusty corkscrew crammed down my aural channel.
I thought it was funny. But there's no debating taste, of course. Wouldn't want to hear it more than two or three times. Nice to hear some variety.
