Geez, nothing which is not "good ol' moms homecooking" has a chance here...

no wonder that blonde Hitler is in charge.....
They honestly earned their 1.
I get the political point, and was musically amused for about the first 2 minutes.  Then I was done.  Way too longgggggggggggggggggg
Trivia: the Evolution Control Committee got into some hot water with this release back in '00 (or was it '99?) with CBS's legal hounds over this release. At first they went after the (IMO clever) sampling of Dan Rather's newscasts, but in the end I think they got nailed for using the opeing and closing theme music of the news show. The band released this version and 3 more either on their own website (or maybe it was another band who hosted it for them??). As for AC/DC covers, there's nothing quote like the banjo riffs in Moxy Fruvous's take on "You Shook Me All Night Long". The banjo is such an underrated instrument, just ask Steve Martin.
Just saw Dan Rather on the Emmys last night, so this was really timely. Never heard it before. Exceptionally well done.
omg ... this is awful. Please don't subject me to this again.
OK. I'm ready to turn off RP until this is over! Ugh.
I shrieked like a fucking little girl when I heard this start up. I heard it on a local college station a year and a half ago, and could never remember who did it. Spent the year telling everyone about it, but no one knew what I was speaking of. Finally, genius I am, I realized I could call the station and ask about it. Even after having the information, however, I could never find a proper copy. Thank you, RP, for letting me hear this again.
Nice for comic relief. I like back in black every once in a while, nobody does the big thumping drums and power chords quite like that.
Interesting... I feel AC/DC in there too.
Perfect follow-up to "What's the Frequency Kenneth." RP outdoes itself in the Clever Programming category. Such a segue seems to be the only valid purpose for this song to exist though.
Rappin' Dan Rather. Who knew? Who cared, for that matter? No wonder I skip the nightly knews. Bad karma abounds.
Rock it, Danny!

Hmm, wonder what Dan Rather's doing these days. Sowing more fear & terror in the heartland??
No need. George W is doing quite a good job of that himself. (BTW, the documents may have been forgeries (just like the documents George W used to claim Iraq was getting yellowcake from Africa), but no one every proved that what they contained was untrue.)
Brilliant! Isn't this what a typical network newscast sounds like already?
AGGRESSIVELY AWFUL!! Compared to this, the mentioned "19" sounds like aural art. I used to find these sort of pastiches clever and cool when I was a pre- and adolescent. No longer.
OK, I NEVER want to hear this on RP or anywhere else EVER again!!!
Well, I think this is hilarious. What will we do without Dan Rather? Check out some election night Ratherisms. Also hilarious. https://politicalhumor.about.com/library/blratherisms.htm
Whether or not "anybody could do it" is irrelevant. The problem with this, is that it's not done very well.
Once is enough on this one. Please delete.
I'll listen to a CD for a while, then come back to RP when this is over...
I'd rather hear Paul Hardcastle's n-n-n-nineteen
Whoa. What a segue from REM's "What's The Frequency, Kenneth" and The Clash's "London Calling". RP as Revolution Rock. Hmmm, wonder what Dan Rather's doing these days. Sowing more fear & terror in the heartland??

Yes, anyone COULD do it. The fact is... They DID. We can all sit back and say, "I could do that." Well, I say, If you can, do it! Speak your mind, express yourself, let your voice be heard through whatever way you can express yourself, no matter if others will look at it as "good" or "bad" the point is, get your message out!

Much respect to your rebuttle. Alas, I don't like it. I get it, I just don't like it. Is it okay that you like it? Sure. So is it okay with you if I don't like it?

Kick ASS! Concentrated terror that is fed to us every night! Just proving my point that terror (not all terror, mind you) comes from the media. Thank you for not being afraid to play this. I'm certain this will NEVER get airplay on ClearChannel stations. BTW, I just bought it from iTunes. My friends would never believe this.
Definitely a one timer. Unfortunately I've already heard it once before.

Yikes people! Is it a nice comfy tune to listen to? No. Does it make you think? Well i guess it might unless you have an allergy to such things. If you don't want to think, turn down the volume. That, or gripe, whine and complain, and rate it with a one.
Don't mind thinking, Darbuka. But I have issues with someone else cramming thoughts into my head by means of a rusty corkscrew crammed down my aural channel.
I thought it was funny. But there's no debating taste, of course. Wouldn't want to hear it more than two or three times. Nice to hear some variety.
this and WTFK by REM...wow it's getting hard to pay attention to the music with all these subliminal meanings... :)

Dear God, make it stop! :headache.gif:

You think your calling a bluff. I'm a sound designer and even if I created something similar to this I would have to burn it and bury it before a peer got a hold of it. I'd be black-listed, forever.
Wow.... That is "kick me in the face" bad.
Not many things played here cause me to switch stations. This is one.
I gave it an 8 just to see if I could pull the average up.
good God Bill, that was horrible!
For the first time in recent memory, I'm tempted to actually rate something as "sucko-barfo". This is just not good. So very not good. Not good in ways there aren't words bad enough to describe. Acutely, intensely, horrificially, soul-searingly, plug-my-ears-with-wax-and-don't-EVER-unplug-them-again-on-the-off-chance-I-might-accidentally-hear-this-again not good.

Not meant to be taken very seriously, obviously. It's amusing, but not what I'd call music.
interesting, but it goes on too long...
My office took a vote. We aren't liking this one. Is it over yet?

no flaming here, but if you listen to the choice of words, .... interesting
This is terrible. My 6 year old could do this. Not that she would waste her time on it.
I don't usually make comments anymore, but this is incredibly annoying. Make it stop. It burns.
I have not heard something this bad on RP for days.
Thanks for helping to confirm my point, though through anecdotal evidence. psycholynx wrote:

Dan Rather and a chopped up AC/DC loop. I don't want to, but I kind of like this.
At first I thought, wtf, but after a few seconds' listen, COOL!!!!! You have to love it when word play begins! and then you also get to hear some of your favorite AC/DC riffs.............ROCK ON
AHHH! "Dan Rather" after "What's the Frequency, Kenneth"... Bill is wow. I can't even just listen to the music anymore, I'm concentrating on finding all the cool meanings! (no, I like the music, just kidding)
btw, they should have gotten william shatner for this one.
OHHH GAWD !!!!! not again. This is torture. Testing your listeners with this crap. I'll still be here when it's over but I won't wait quietly.
interesting to say the least I do wonder how Dan sleeps at night after reporting this kind of news for an entire lifetime

is that dan rather?
Someone should upload the Team America theme song. Anyone who likes this would love that one.
This is definitely one of my favorite songs, but also definitely something I never expected to hear on Radio Paradise.
WTF?? Challenge me Bill!!! I can take it! I need to hear that a few more times so I can decide......

Yes, this is dreadful and old after one listen. But keep playing it, Bill.
when will this song end so I can listen to something good?
I don't know. I kind of liked "criminal anti-government love triangle."
Simply good stuff. Of course, it will not be liked by the pop-o-phyles.
Hay I Just gave my first 1 !!!!
Please don't put me through that again!
Horrible!
this stuff must be wiped out of the universe. please don't play this pile of shit anymore.
Points for creativity, points for production, points for making a statement via a work of audio art. That said, I hope I don't hear this again for a very long time. "Jesus H. Christ in a chicken basket..."

Please...no more...I can't take it on a Monday.
Kill me know. It's right up there with "19" by Falco.
Wouldn't want this as a steady diet, but I was laughing and grooving to it totally. Great concept piece. And how could one not follow it with REM's WTFK?

Ahhhh... NO. The last thing I want to hear is Dan Blather and a bunch of random noise coming out of my speakers. Got anything less than 'sucko-barfo' yet that I can use to rate this?
agreed...I already had a headache before hearing this but now it is at least three times as painful...
good night Dan, forever!
There needs to be a "0" option on the rating scale for this sort of junk.
WTF .... I'm going to clean out my ears with an Icepick now.
It would be OK if I never heard this again.

well, this got my attention!
i'll say. been listening all morning, this is a departure.
Should this be played back to back with Paul Hardcastle's "19"?
My first thought was, "oh cripes, not more sampled crap-ola...", but as I hear more of it, I kind of wish I was listening to this somewhere else so I could examine the lyrics more...I can't make it loud enough or concentrate at my desk job enough to hear the words...
F'ing brilliant! Maybe now that he is retired, Rather could open for Shatner...
The stuff that can be put together with computers these days! Is Dan getting any of the royalties? Is his voice copyrighted? Can somebody use your voice in this way without your permission? Talk about taking your words out of context! Artistically, I think this is pretty interesting, but how would I feel about it if I were Dan?
Perk, Perk!
An amazing sample of Dan Rather. This might be a "funny once"; but for now I'm giving it a 6. And a nice set, with this between "London Calling" and "What's the Frequency, Kenneth"
Yes. I'm definitely enjoying this.
LOL, this is cool!
whoa! Cool!
well, this got my attention! ...but I'm not sure what I think yet at all...
