Wind me up
Put me down
Start me off and watch me go
I'll be runnin' circles around you sooner than you know
A little off center
And I'm out of tune
Just kickin' this can along the avenue
But I'm alright

'Cause it's easy once you know how it's done
You can't stop now
It's already begun
You feel it runnin' through your bones
And you jerk it out
And you jerk it out

Shut up
Hush your mouth
Can't you hear you talk too loud?
No can't hear nothin' 'cause I got my head up in the clouds
I bite off anything that I can chew
I'm chasing cars up and down the avenue
But that's okay

'Cause it's easy once you know how it's done
You can't stop now
It's already begun
You feel it runnin' through your bones
And you jerk it out

'Cause it's easy once you know how it's done
You can't stop now
It's already begun
You feel it runnin' through your bones
And you jerk it out
And you jerk it out

And you jerk it out
And you jerk it out
Oh baby don't you know you
Really gotta jerk it out
When you jerk it out
Oh baby don't you know you
Really gotta jerk it out
When you jerk it out
Oh baby don't you know you
Really gotta jerk it out

Haven’t heard this song for a million years — it is a Bop!
Love this... Got a nice  sound

Oooh same! I kept it for years but it would make people jump so eventually I changed it

I Agree on all counts!
one hit, overplayed here, not great

iPod nano, 1st generation. Great device, great song.

nobody wants to know about how you jerk it out on your organ dude.
Omicron-level infectious. I downloaded this song after I heard it the first time on RP. I played it on repeat for days. I also discovered Cobrastyle by Teddybears. The bands are related through Joakim Ahlund. Equally infectious.

Fun! Fun! Fun!

Sometimes you just don't feel like jerking it out.

Yeah, 'cause when you do, you're probably on websites other than RP. At least, I hope so....
I always heard this on TV shows, ads or in cars driving past... never knew who did it. Gotta love Radio Paradise
Hmmm, I think this is played too much.  Says only once before in the past 30 days, but it doesn't seem like it. Thank you.

It's "? and the Mysterians" - "96 Tears". There is an obvious inspiration there.

I only became aware of this song about a month ago! Had no memory of it from any commercials, and thought it was something from the 60s I'd never heard before. Only off by half a century or so...
"39 minutes of bliss (in an otherwise meaningless world)"

Well, nothing like being into self importance....

kind of cool
Sounded like the Inspiral Carpets to me. Pretty good.
Can't quite fathom that this is 10 years old. Wonder if the band had anything more than 39 minutes of fame?

Hey! I first heard this song (and enjoyed it) on a snowboarding game for the PS2. Does that make me a Sony shill? Or an EA Sports shill? Or maybe you're just an idiot who can't separate a song from the marketing it's used in?

I'm thinking the latter.
Hate it....hear it a lot...tv commercials etc
a fun little ditty i think.
Nice Retro - I like it.

Fun.  Probably more fun after a few pops.
Cheesy organ in the style of 80s/90s indie popstars, the inspiral carpets
Obviously the still clean and very catchy "60's British Invasion" sound of this particular cut has been missed by some of you outspoken but clearly casual listeners of RP. Listen again and perhaps some of you will get it. This song is gold!

Go, apple shills! Your music will be remembered as overplayed and therefore boring!

Yes. Another example is the (cheesy) surf organ on Elvis Costello's "Pump It Up."
cheesiest organ? i think that would be the skin between your toes

Though I'm inclined to agree with you, I have to ask, what does that have to do with the music?

I hate this song... today? My furiously tapping foot tells me to stop overthinking and enjoy.

I LOVE that Cadillac used a song to sell their cars that's all about . . . not getting laid. How ironic and wonderful is that? Re this song: I never listen to commercial radio and don't have a tv, so it's fresh and new to me. Not sure what "jerk it out" is supposed to mean, exactly, but like the tune.

Being a VÀsterbottnian I have to salute your great taste! You definitely should try it on tunnbröd, the traditional wafer thin bread from the region!
this is the best song on the game ssx. great game btw.
You know, I'm not down with all this retro. I just keep getting the feeling like...been there done that and moved on long ago.

As someone who does not: -watch television commercials (thanks TiVo/Moxie) -listen to commercial radio -play video games I thought this song was pretty enjoyable. I find it interesting that the Swedes (The Hives, Caesers et al.) are in to retro/punk/roots/pychedelia rock, or whatever it's called. Good on them. Too bad that so many others found this song novel enough to include in commercials and overplay on the radio. Maybe I'll tire of it in a while.

Wasn't this song released by The Caesars (Not, Caesars Palace) album "39 Minutes of Bliss"? Did they recently add "Palace" to their name, or have they subtracted it? Cornfused.
Original name of the band was Caesar's Palace, but the "Palace" was dropped after a call from some casino lawyers. BTW, 39 Minutes of Bliss, the whole disc, is a hoot.
no no no no no no!!! I can hear this on the most marginal radio station in St. Louis! BAD BAD BAD! What's next? Kelly Clarkson?
Is RP website getting slower or is it just me?
Never heard this...yeah liking it ok!
I'm a sucker for any song about being a dog.

Interesting observation. That was quite a video, too. But my mind may have embellished it over the years. Ride 'em, cowboy!
I saw these guys live a few weeks ago. It was one of the most pathetic performances I have ever seen.
here's a thought....let's give this stupid song a BREAK! Sheesh, its played almost as often as "Spooky Girlfriend", and thats a shit load!

I keep almost picking this up, and I keep completely putting it down. I'm worried I'll get bored of this fun retro-groove in a few weeks and wish I'd never spent the money.
I like so much

That is inevitable. Something people like will be used for commercials, like it or not. If everybody was hooked on strawberry lollipops they'd stick one as a "FREE gift" on every microwave or CD they wanna sell.... :D

I don't have any bad feelings toward this song because of the commercial use. I just don't like the song. It made a good first impression, but now I find it painfully dull.

I'm so glad I hardly watch TV anymore. I detest commercials, and it would be a pity if this disgust would spread to all the good music they abuse in them.
I first heard this song a year and a half ago as part of the soundtrack to a snowboarding game for the PS2. No bad associations for me.
this style of music making a comeback i see. And i like the mix. Of course it is used for the commercial industry, it is addicting.
I can understand your concern about your favorite artists being played as the soundtrack to commercials, however, for emerging artists (like me!) it's often the only way to get our music heard by people for the first time... since great radio stations (like RP) are so hard to find. It's really hard for new artists to be heard. I would be psyched to get one of my tunes on TV! Rock on for The Caesars... maybe they're actually making money now.
Commercial or no commercial (here in Prague we don't have it anyways) I love that organ lick...

A fun little song with a catchy hook. I like it, and I don't know why. :)
I loved this song..even after the iPod commercial. Heh. Great song by the Caesars and Caesars Palace.
Fun stuff. Aural cotton candy.

Actually they've dropped the "Palace" worldwide. So from now on no matter where you are they are the Caesar's.

I have no problem with that at all. More power to RP by entering into partnerships like this. I don't see Bill going overboard and allowing any degree of corporate control.

This happened to some friends a while back too. Their band was just getting off the ground here in Dallas and as soon as their song hit the ipod/VW commercial the band shot like a rocket! They're touring all over the world now. Polyphonic Spree is the band, btw.

i like it. fun stuff :D
Thing is, I remember that this was actually a minor hit single beforehand, then faded from everybody's collective consciousness until it was revived by the iPod commercial. Isn't it funny how advertising goes sometimes?
aaarghhh...this song is on A list rotation over here at the minute can't bear it, music for 5 year olds imo :headshake:
