Is there a place I can go?
Is there a way to get me there?
If I've forgotten what to say
It's because all words are dust.
If this is really what you think,
How come you won't look me in the eye?
All this crying in your sleep
As I lie awake beside

Whoa, whoa, whoa yeah.
Whoa, whoa, whoa yeah.
Whoa, whoa, whoa yeah.
Whoa, whoa, whoa yeah.

Is there a t-shirt I can wear?
Cause I'm soaking,
Look at me.
What do you mean I don't love you?
I am standing here aren't I?
Maybe you thought of it first.
Maybe I get all the praise.

Is there a place I can go?
Is there a way to get me there?
Whoa, whoa, whoa yeah.
Whoa, whoa, whoa yeah.
Whoa, whoa, whoa yeah.
Whoa, whoa, whoa yeah.

The new album is a HUGE disappointment...

...but it's got a cool cover. {#Naughty}

Sounded great for the first 45 seconds.
Nice hit. {#Arrowd}

and thank goodness for it today, too...there was a long set of snoozers before this, during the 3-4pm blood sugar decline. This one woke my lagging self right up.

May not be the best musical creation ever, but put it on your workout playlist and you will work up a fine sweat.  That's worth 99 cents in my book....

praying for an avelanche
Contemporary "wall of sound" song. Lots of popmusic is about into your face loudness/power and this is a good example of that.

The new album is a HUGE disappointment. Kinda like Everclear or the Counting Crows, once the lead singer comes to grip with his loss or breakup, there is really nothing of substance left to write about.
Have to disagree on that, I found the new album to be excellent. Set the Fire to the Third Bar is an amazing song, and it's surrounded by other good stuff. I like the new album more than this one (Final Straw), actually.

Let's not forget Chris Martin in that group. "X&Y" was definitally a step down from anything they did before. Go figure...

I agree,, his broken heart led to some great material... oh well..

If anyone out in RP Land has the new CD from Snow Patrol, please upload some new tunes!! Haven't purchased it yet myself, but heard it was great!

I love songs where the first seconds is like a call to arms. The guitar opening this song is like that.
This song is great and so is the album, but it seems like the more I listened to Final Straw the more all the songs start sounding exactly the same, but just with different tempos. Maybe I was just ready for their next album.
Based on their song/video that played on MTV all the time, you know...the one where the guy swinging flares around in the dark, I would not have guess that this song was by Snow Patrol. They sound nothing alike!
heal, Gary, heal!
Good Stuff!!

Meh.
Bill, you have the last three songs backwards. First you get tiny little fractures, then you get your morphine. Then you're really, really happy.
Yes! Very good. More like this, please.
good dose of indie rock.
woohooo! Check out their band photos... they smile a lot. They're lovin it. I love 'em even more for that! (click here)
Not a bad song from a very well produced album (thanks in part to their support from U2 - try listening to How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb for similarities). There are better songs on this album and the title track, Final Straw, is well presented. Their drummer, Johnny, is a pretty sound fella as well, though his West of Ireland surfing skills need much 'adjustment'....no more than myself! - Steady beats from Mr. Quinn!
I wish that there were something from Songs for Polar Bears or When Its All Over We Still Have to Clear Up, when Snow Patrol did things completely different. I liked the Snow Patrol of Final Straw, but they weren't the same cooky little experimental bunch.

It's not the best song on the album, but a pretty good tune nonetheless. :nodhead:
Then I HAVE to check out that album! Thanks for the "heads up!"

One of the reason I ever listen to present day music..snow patrol is pure as snow!
First post! No, I mean, it sounds pretty generic...
