EFO is one group I wouldn't miss if they disappeared from RP.

What's worse, Ani DiFranco or an Ani DiFranco wannabe? I can't decide.
It's not Eddie from Ireland?

Every time I hear EfO, I think that it is Mary Black. Almost as good. Utterly enjoyable.

I can't believe how much this girl sounds like Ani DiFranco.
Totally Is this band's name in reference to Ed Crawford aka Ed fROMOHIO from fIREHOSE? After the passing of Minutemen singer/guitarist D. Boon, Bass player Mike Watt received a call from Ed Crawford, a singer/guitarist who resided in Ohio. Ed was a fan of the Minutemen and wanted to audition for Mike Watt's new band. Watt told Ed to 'send a tape' but instead Ed made the trek to California to audition in person. Watt, amazed that Ed actually showed up, said 'sure why not'. That is how fIREHOSE got started, and how Ed got his nickname. I have no idea what the connection is between this band 'Eddie from Ohio' and 'fIREHOSE', other than maybe they were fans?

I must agree she sounds JUST LIke ANI! copy cat.
Her voice is so similar yet it lacks that soulful attitude. She is like Ani on Zoloft. Wheeee!
This is the first time I've ever piped up to say something negative, but this is really awful. I have a fear of hearing this again.

Well, may be just an ordinarily dull song.
Incredibly dull song...
This crap is killin' me, yet I support other people's right to crap.

Ah, a new mysterious posting from the Glockman diaries. First it was "baby arm," then "lobster claw," and maybe some other appendages I missed. Now, "bloody pants." Should I be alarmed? You doin' OK?

These dorks used to play at some place in Arlington (VA) - forgetting the name. I can't believe they packed them in every Tuesday there. The place was packed with whitebread frat and sorrority types, as well as a sea of granolas of the goody-goody variety. God, that was some scary shit.
Yep, that makes sense. Let's dismiss the band 'cos the fans at one venue threaten you. Makes sense to me. Scary shit, indeed.

Your comment cracks me up. Maybe it's because I'm beyond that now (Those Rusted Root dorks used to play some place in Pennsylvania, bla bla bla), maybe it's because I like your phrase "granolas of the goody-goody variety."
Their sound is a bit like the Mel Cooleys, but more refined. (I think the Mel Cooleys get together once a decade or something like that...)
Love these guys, they are great live and nice folks to boot. Used to see them all the time in Arlington, now see them in when they swing through. A great listen.

Yay! More EfO on RP. I love them. They've got tons of good stuff out there, and are indeed loads of fun to see live!

If you get a chance to see these guys live, don't miss it - they're a blast. A really fun, primarily acoustic gig, at least when I saw them in Athens, GA.
