I went away to see an old friend of mine
His sister came over she was out of her mind
She said Jesus had a twin who knew nothing about sin
She was laughing like crazy at the trouble I'm in
Her light eyes were dancing she is insane
Her brother says she's just a bitch with a golden chain
She keeps coming closer saying "I can feel it in my bones
Schizophrenia is taking me home"
My future is static
It's already had it
I could tuck you in
And we can talk about it
I had a dream
And it split the scene
But I got a hunch
It's coming back to me

Wow some new SY on RP....excellent!  A HUGE fan....they have so many jewels within their catalogue, and I admit it can be an adventure in sound finding them....  {#Cheers}   ....and granted....this is NOT for everyone!
That was not the most aesthetically-pleasing sequence of noises ever to issue from my headphones.
Wow!

You PSD!

Ding ding ding!!!!

I swear if all they can do is bang on the darn thing it needs to be bashed over their heads!!! Then they would feel what it does to mine!

Context, dude... I'll drop the news to you gently: You haven't got a clue.

That Skalpel tune kinda got me sleepy, but the transition through Blue Man to this was sublime,I must admit. Nice Segue Bill!
I agree on all counts
Who are Sonic Youth and why are my nipples erect every time I hear them?
Gong Fred Frith Phil Manzanera Henry Cow (europe bands been doing this avant guard stuff 30 years ago) It's not prog rock, but they are trying
Oh yeah, this is the real deal. Sonic Youth rocks my world.
Amen, and let's hope to hear Theresa's Sound-world on here one of these days...Yeah, baby!

outstanding! very cool to see that RP is (slowly) starting to adventure into Sonic Youth's earlier recordings.
Right...All of Sonic Youth's stuff is truely outstanding and original! They break all the rules of how to write a song...and still get amazing results...I Love Em!!
This is a GREAT album(cd)

If this is what schizophrenia is like, I'll just op for the gun or the cliff.

I'll second that.
I don't normally like Sonic Youth, but I find this song quite enjoyable -
I really like the song.Cat Power does a good cover of it too.

Agreed. Saw them open for Neil Young WAAAY back, and I was like, wha? Now I really dig these guys. 'Specially the last few albums.

makes want turn up the volume a little bit more each time I hear this. Which means I need a volume nob that goes to 500 by now!
Just Annoying, but maybe that is the point....
Oh, this is terrible! Even for me...
A little bit too tin can for my taste.
Lovin it in spoonfuls!
it really doesn't get much better than this, it sounds just as good today as when i first heard it! rated 9, maybe should be 10 - can anything be a 10?
Tremendous hearing this again on RP! Love Kim's voice, and those dissonant guitar whangings. One of the best things from one of the best albums of their "classic" period. Eat your heart out, Glenn Branca.
Their new album is coming out very soon! June, I believe.

Classic SY song from an amazing album!
Glad to hear some previously-unplayed-on-RP stuff now! Seems like it's been a while.
Used to love these guys, then kinda forgot about them...nice to hear it!!
