Better to have the poison in the drapes: I spend way more time mouthing the carpet.
In this case, the carpet shouldn't match the drapes.

Well there you go.

....could be my all-time favorite comment - simple, succinct, to the point!  Thank you LPCity.

is that crayon ?
One of the reasons I love RP is that no matter when you listen to it, you know you're going to get stellar guitar work.

Some Bert Jansch in there? Or what am I hearing?

It's not just the guitar - the percussion and the whole arrangement sound a lot like Pentangle.
(as in "Bells", for example)

Absolutely right. And if, as it is said (and sung), "you can't judge a book by the cover": neither an album should be jugdged this way, seems to be the lesson of the "artwork" above.

according to her website, this album was released in 2005.
i kinda feel like anybody could write/play something like this. it's ok but i'll never think about it again unless i hear it here...
I like this - very cool bass playin'.

Liking  this!
Aptly named but still sublime...{#Sunny}
I can smell the scent, and feel the texture of the red wax crayon picture photographed for that album cover. Takes me back to age 4 or 5 - wanting to turn the whole page a beautiful deep shade of thick red.

Just like some of the other posters I think this really does sound a lot like Pentangle. Cool...

As chaotic as the album cover.
Very nice. I was listening and saying to myself "where is this thing trying to go" and then I saw your comment -dave
Doesn't do it for me.
These are the tracks that, when two or three in a row appear, drive me and my office mates to switch to a different radio channel.
As chaotic as the album cover.

Another wonderful :-)
Wonderful
Dreadful
Good guitar work but a little boring the song has no structure.
Beautiful music! Saw her in person in Portland a while back, playing early morning in a coffee shop. Bought her CD on the spot.
Nice guitar picking
nothing poisonous about this song....
Read the album name again...

Clearly very talented playing, but a bit disjointed overall - at least for my tastes.

Seems like he's trying to show off all his styles and talents in one track. He must be v.young. He still hasn't learned to keep it simple and on one track. All good guitarists seem to go through a stage like this early in their careers.
I disagree here...I feel as if you may be confusing a song with a dynamic structure for "showing off all styles and talents in one track" - I see this more as a song with several related mini movements that flow well into and out of one another. Not all songs have to be A-B, after all :-)
I've got that drawing up on my refrigerator.
Pssh, this is just fun! Impressively nimble fingers, too.
strange piece of music!
the CD cover is lola's brain on work today. RP is definitely my cure!

She. Maybe not that young, but this is her debut album, so you may be right. Lot's of talent, though.

Yep. Hence the album title "Mell of a Hess" -- Maybe he should change his name to Segovia Esteban Metheney and be done with it.
Well, he's a she, and she is young (at least according to this https://www.jamiestillway.com/). I like it ok...

Nice changeup into some fancy fingerpickin.
