I for one like their name. It's a bit of a mouthful, but it's fun and makes sense.
I'm glad POTUSA went the same route as CIV and the rest of the 90s one-hit-wonders...down the munky river.
they should change their name to "Presidents Of the United States Of America. Except George W Bush".
Horray for POTUSA!
It is hard to be objective with a name like that, so I will give them a 3+. which is much better than I would give the real Presidents of the United States.

I love bands that really don't take themselves too seriously, these guys are no exception. Their self-depricating humor, at least on the first album (the only album I have heard) won me over immediately, esp. the song 'We're Not Gonna Make It'. Aside from that, they are talented and humorous in many other ways tho' the song "Lump" grew old quickly, subsequestly Wierd Al's "Gump" hastened the feeling moreso. Glad to hear they are still around. Thanks for playing the Presidents~
Right on!

OK, so tell me, what kind of name for a group of people who follow Jimmy Buffet around is PARROTHEADS? That name makes no sense whatsoever! And The Presidents of the United States of America is a better band than Jimmy Buffet. Cheeseburger in Paradise? Please.......

Well said. My feelings exactly.

Sounds an awful lot like "Moving to the Country (Gonna Eat A Lot of Peaches)" by the same band.
"Purple paw plucking a guitar..."
this is terrible
I've always thought these guys scored themselves a really cool band name. Which is funny since it's playing right after Echo and the Bunnymen who have to have one of the silliest band names out there. As far as I'm concerned at least.
This song is pretty chillin, me likes
heh, didn't think I'd hear PUSA on RP. this is a fun song.
Come on, people. This is fun, creative, and original! And I think the sound fits in quite nicely with the RP rotation. Kudos!
Scored a hit, on top of the charts... and didn't have a clue what to do next.
the defining moment for my dislike was when the monkeys said goodbye. Too cute

Highway Forever bombed on the LRC, and Some Postman is still up there, doing pretty well: 15/3 83%. This song was the only song I've had on the LRC that actually made it to the playlist! It had a quite good 32/4 89%! I've thought about uploading Shreds of Boa... it's just so hard to choose!
Not sure if Shreds is RP fare... I'm not surprised Highway Forever bombed here. I upped a few Giraffes songs prior to the LRC, "Gone Again, Gone" was the only one to make the cut, but had some help being about Sandman, as someone here (Bill/Rebecca) is a Morphine fan. Q
& ... decent beat.. I like 'em.
I just love PotUSA

I love everything PUSA does, so I was excited to hear my boys on RP. Not my fav track from this CD, but good to hear.

How's Beantown ? I moved to Atlanta in 1990.
We are holding up, in spite of you abandoning us jes' kiddin, everything fine, hope you like Atlanta!
I'm trying, but just can't find anything particularly redeeming about this one. Pretty much nothing stands out as good or noteworthy. It doesn't suck, but just barely.
