Man, I wish I could stand her voice. This song would be great if someone else were singing. I try... I really try to like her voice, but it sounds like crap to me.
Roger that.
My cat makes this noise when it wants out.
please make it stop...

I hear you. I've tried and tried, but I just don't appreciate her vocals. I've finally accepted it!
the worst part is, it seems to become less bearable with every listen.

I totally agree.

I freakin' love beth orton! especially the way she sings! Got to get this CD very soon.
Don't y'all be knocking my girlfriend! Yes, she's my girlfriend, although the restraining order says differently. ;)

Good gracious, the way she sings is moving from annoying to GRATING. I dropped this song from a 4 to a 3 because of it. She's in tune, and all, but it's something about the way she seems to stumble around the note changes that drives me insane...
Now that's a short trip!

I love the music on this cut, but her voice irritates me. Never got the appeal.
I agree with most of the previous posts. That the stuff off her other albums are a little stronger, but this is still a great song.
Anyone catch her on Letterman last night? She looked so old, she's not really that old is she? I love her music and always considered it to be a bit youthful....hmmmm....
Yes, a different more acoustic approach this time around but still ...that haunting beautiful voice

I agree. I loved her last album, but this isn't doing much for me.
OK, this is edging towards decent. Still pretty disappointing, like the rest of the album. Not the great comeback I was hoping for.

I feel the same way.
Listened to this on Rhapsody yesterday. Good album but somehwhat different than her last couple.

really like beth. she experiments with different styles/genres and always lands on her feet.
New Beth Orton.
