Hey everybody
Let's have some fun
You only live once
But when you're dead you're gone

So let the good times roll
Well let the good times roll
Well it makes no difference
If you're young or old
Just get together
And let the good times roll

Hey don't sit there mumbling
Talkin' trash
If you wanna have a ball
You gotta spend some cash
Let the good times roll
Oh yeah let the good times roll

Makes no difference
If you're young or old
Oh let the good times roll

(Scat)

Tell everybody Chuck Brown is in town
A dollar and a quarter
He's just wearing a crown
1Don't let no female play me cheap
I got fifty cents more
Than I'm gonna keep

So let the good times roll
Yeah let the good times roll
Don't make no difference
If you're young or old
Just get together and
Let the good times roll

No matter whether rainy weather
If you wanna have a ball
You've got to get yourself together
Get under control and
Let the good times roll

(Now what you gonna do)
(Yeah)

I sure wish I could have a good time for 50 cents!
HHHIT ITTT
Did anyone already mentioned the scary cover? :-) I guess she didn't only had friends at that time...
Incredible! 8 to a big TEN
Love the sparkle on the tooth!

Koko Taylor's personnel for this album:

Cornelius Boyson, Bass
Vince Chappelle, Drums
Sammy Lawhorn, Guitar
Johnny B. Moore, Guitar
Abe Locke, Saxophone
Pinetop Perkins, Keyboards

Is that BB playing in the right channel?  If not it is a darn good impersonation.
Earthshaker indeed, Woo-Hoooo!!!
she does the best "Wang Dang Doodle",  owns it
Saw her on stage once. She scared me, like she was gonna kick my ass.   And i was just an innocent boy! yeah baby yeah!
Koko is wonderful but I'm just plain tired of this tune.
Another affirmation of Bill's impeccable taste in music.

You have to explain that one - Mara Donna!
I doubt there are any coconuts involved in that band!

LOVE THAT AFGHAN WHIG!

Woooow - what a photo!
So much self-confidence!
Big chance to win the title,
of the "ugliest band on the planet"

Still - real (though simple) music!

I smile...

Yes, but new ones are born everyday! This is one style that is far from being an artifact. Blues lives and grows because the fans and artists can't help but give themselves over to loving the groove.

Nice try buddy but you gotta eat some road to get enough gravel to properly jam this out.  Definitely heard better versions.

Utterly nonsensical comment. Your opinion of this version is fair enough, it's just an opinion after all, but Ms. Taylor had gravel to spare, that's a stone cold fact.

Really?  Wow.  I think it's almost impossible to screw this song up.  And KoKo is the Queen of Blues.. so I'm not sure where "buddy" came from.

I saw her perform .. back in the early 90's.  I saw her with Etta James in the Napa Valley at a Wine Festival.  One FANTASTIC FRIGGIN show.  I think B.B. King was there as well.  I can't remember.. I just remember Etta and KoKo.

You know she sang "Wang Dang Doodle".

I think each time I hear a different artist perform this song, I think they each add their own flavor to it. Same goes for KoKo.

Just my opinion.

Not bad, Bill!
SWEEEEEEEET!!
some serious flappin noodles shredding at the edges on this one -

Not to take anything away from the song, which I think is fantastic, but when I glanced at the album cover, I thought it was James Brown!

Ha - yes I agree - even sounds a bit like a young JB!

R.I.P. Koko! You still rock my soul, girl! You'll be shakin 'em up in heaven, just like you did here! {#Sunny}
I'm pretty sure that pic on the cover is from the Japanese movie "The Creature that ate New York" released in 1974.

one of a kind!

RIP, Koko.

She played in concert around these parts a lot.  I'll sure miss the old girl.

Yeah! Thanks to the person who uploaded Koko Taylor. There is so much good stuff by Koko. I'd love to have some more of her prolific library on RP.
Why thank you, on behalf of the Queen! Yes, there is so much of hers to be enjoyed. It was tough picking one out to upload. The Earthshaker CD is the most mauled and worn out in my collection. Cheers!
