I am still stuck on their album Yield. This seems to be their last good album. I believe it was one of their best.
i second that.
I am still stuck on their album Yield. This seems to be their last good album. I believe it was one of their best. I have tried to like their later stuff but it just doesn't seem to latch on.
Lovely album cover. I truly like it. Too bad I don't like the song very much.
Pearl Jam always gets a banana dance!

There's a repeated rip-off bit from an old Sniff and The Tears tune from the summer of '79 in there that makes me want to hear THAT, way more, instead of this...
It's Driver's Seat. And I'm with you, I'd much rather hear the riff's source.

It's not the best song of the last album. Quite likeable, anyway I recognize that the first time I heard this album, I didn't like, but the second and third time it seems to be better to me. A good album for a band in their 40's!!!
Is Eddy in his 40s!?!? OMG, I must be really old!!! @;-D
Great track, great album!

You're not far off on that quote. Honestly, Pearl Jam produces about 2-3 good songs per album. I haven't heard the new album yet, but I'm sure it's the same.

That's the most idiotic post I've seen in a while.

Anything Neil Young makes is gonna be retarded.

C'mon people, bashing Pearl Jam is understandable. Bashing Avocados - now that really hurts my feelings. Its only one of the creamiest and fattiest fruits loved by the world over.

Just think of the avocado as looking more like a breast than a butternut squash. I despise avocados as well, but an artist isn't dictated by their cover art, it's dictated by their liner notes! Just kidding there, I haven't seen decent liner notes in CD's.. they were great in the days of vinyl. While I do love pearl jam, especially when I'm feeling angry and need an outlet, this is one of their bland songs.

KISS the later years. yoh oh oh oh yoh oh oh oh
Dang. Don't tell me PJ is gettng complacent with using worn out, unimaginative guitar riffs and licks.
Rockin!!! I love it. And I love the avocado CD cover :)
Neil Young and Offspring have a retarded baby.

THAT'S IT!!!! I was going crazy trying to figure out what song that riff reminded me of. Sniff and the Tears, Driver's Seat. Yeah, that's it.
I keep hearing "Driver's Seat" in the guitar intro.
Why are they moving away from grunge? This almost sounds 80's.
Brilliant!

marker in the sand? what about inside job?
I love the little wooh-oaah-oooh in the chorus. A little Weezer like (which is in turn a little Buddy Holly like.)

I don't imagine that will be a problem... In fact I could see this getting quite a bit of airplay this summer, not just on RP.
