All the songs that I've sung you
More often than you know
You're the love that I've clung to
More often than I've let it show.

And I wish you would leave me
And I wish you would go
And I wish you didn't need me
And I wish I didn't love you so.

'Cause I just can't go on
So please don't do me wrong
No I won't do you harm
My love for you goes on and on

There's no-one else I want beside you
Give me your coldest shoulder to cry
upon You're never anywhere I find you
You're never anything I rely upon.

And I wish you would leave me
And I wish you would go
And I wish you didn't need me
And I wish I didn't know.
That I just can't go on
So please…

Robin Zander fronting Crowded House...

I'm hearing the Finns............major compliment.
thank you bill for that interesting description of the origins of the band name.

i am officially nauseous now.   {#Puke}   oops.

actually my least favorite song on this album. their follow up, Mobile Home is excellent. crazy vocals, indeed an acquired taste.
Great song, great album, great band. They were billed as the next Radiohead. But then every band that came out post Bends, had more than one guitar and a singer than employed the old falsetto every now and then was. I still find it hard to believe that grizzled old Richard Hawley was in the band.

Call me crazy, but is any one else hearing some Cheap Trick in that voice?

This has got to be a sound track for some chick flick.
Brilliant song from a band who's name I've been aware of for years, but had never heard. On first listen, that's a nine.
Good

for the same reason that a good 30 or so of my uploads have been "sorry'd" over the last few years which are now in current rotation...and the answer is...who the hell knows, at least they made it to the playlist. ... by the way I thought the song was outstanding...I will now investigate the band and probably buy the CD, RP and Boosiewolf have done it again, turned me on to an artist I had never heard.
Ahem. And NAF.
