You feel the weight of the weight on your shoulders
Cuz everyday gets shorter and colder
And hand in hand we walk through leather fire
The mountains bleed red as the sun gets higher

All the things that you are I provide
'Til your footprint is swept away by the tide
I can wait for awhile I don't mind
Yeah I can wait for awhile cuz I got time

Wish you was less of a way his
With it were more of the way you could be
And you could put your faith in me for a while
In the end I hope you're free cuz I'll be out of style

All the things that you are I provide
'Til your footprint is swept away by the tide
And I can wait for awhile I don't mind
Yeah I can wait for awhile I got time (I got time)

Whoever said you can't be saved by a song
Whoever said that is stringing you along
We're all afraid to be dead and gone
This will live on it will live on it will live on

And all the things that you are I provide
Til your footprint is swept away by the tide
And I can wait for awhile I don't mind
Yeah I can wait for awhile I got time

And all the things you're looking for I hope you'll find
Before your footprint is swept away by the tide
And I can wait for awhile I don't mind
Yeah I can wait for awhile I got time
And I can wait for awhile I don't mind
Yeah I can wait for awhile I got time (I got time)

Does he mind? Does he have time? I'm not clear on that.
I hope the next thing he waits for is the release of any future music ... I didn't hear anything in this song worth listening to.
Pretty!
Any John Lennon DNA in this guy's DNA
Very Neil Finn-ish. Like Neil better.
Droning repetition.
Is he in The Shins? Sounds like 'em. ETA: No, he isn't.
I feel I have to save that album cover, and the "childlike empress" within - from the NOTHING. -Bastian
Up another notch, slowly but surely ;p
Normally, I am as easygoing and receptive as the next person....but I would enjoy beating SR senseless. Perhaps with 9-iron. Future of rock my Aunt Fanny. It was only three years ago that he was gracing the cover of Toro magazine's premiere issue, which proclaimed him "the future of rock."
Hello, This is third (or fourth?) time I have heard this song in the past week or so, and each time I like it less. To each their own, I guess. Neil

Can-nah-dah

True on both accounts! Sam kinda looks like Jim Morrison up there on stage.
When I saw him, it was more like "Born to Run" era Bruce Springsteen - scruffy, sexy, and something to prove.

Yes would have been proud...

Weak vocals, like 50% of RP's playlist.(or maybe it just seems that way sometimes) So evident particularly after hearing a classic song sung, actually sung, by someone like Van Morrison.

These scruffy f*ckers are great live

hm. nice
These guys came through Edmonton about a month ago. Played a smaller venue then they should have. It was a great concert. Recommend this album and a lot of songs off of their previous album 'We Were Born In A Flame'.
I'm intrigued by Bill's selection of "Missionary Man" followed by "Uprising Down Under."
Lovin the album artwork!
