I'd firewalk
Through Dinosaur Hell
To keep your hopes up
And hold your head

And I'd halo the harpoons
That hail through your soul

Sign off the world
The wildfires burn
In hopes

High fire waves
Catch in your hair
Lashing the womb
Of emptiness where
I'd firewalk
The cracked spine stairway

Sign off the world
The wildfires burn
In hopes..

We're sharks that do nothing but stall and think

I thought this was Ben Folds while listening from the other room.
Reminds me of Incubus,
I was desperate ha ha, and cried;  I knew, even my halo needed a little love.
Now I'm weird, because the harpoon land pretty much is topping the charts.
Did I hear that this band was from Toronto?  Montreal if I understand correctly.

Anyone else hear some Satie in the piano part?

I think Erik Satie was probably deceased by the time this album was recorded; at the least, he was no longer doing session work..

Actually, it does sound like there are some extended minor chords or something in this tune that has that "Satie" sound.
Reminds me a bit of Jump Little Children and Guster... Not bad.

Stephen Stills, methinks.

Reminds of piano practice as a kid.

Love this song. it took me a long time to find it online 2 or 3 years ago when I first heard it (as a demo or live performance on local Seattle indie station?). It's been on my playlists ever since.
Never heard of this - it's refreshingly different.
15 to 20.

none at all, if they took the easy route and photoshopped it

heh, the easy route? Look at the deformation of the petals and leaves due to the heat from the fire ... it would be a lot easier just to light a bouquet on fire.

i was just thinking that! and i think this song is growing on me. it sounds like it would be at the end of a strokes album.
Their first album was amazing, but I think the lead singer left the band, which explains the mediocre follow up.
This song gives me a feeling of "I have already heard this and got equally bored".
that is one nice album cover.
Yes!! thank you Bill! now lets have Destroyer next!
Kinda KEWL how your feather seems to dance to this!
