One more day that I've survived
Another night alone
Pay no mind I'm doing fine
I'm breathing on my own

I'm here
And I'm on the mend
I'm here
And I'm on the mend my friend

Wake me when the hour arrives
Wake me with my name
See you somewhere down the line
We're tethered once again

I'm here
And I'm on the mend
I'm here
And I'm on the mend my friend

I'm here
And I'm on the mend
I'm here
And I'm on the mend my friend

Was it you?
Sat alone
Here we go

Close and stay a while
To take me where you go
Single file we walk the mile
Who's wandering back home

I'm here
And I'm on the mend
I'm here
And I'm on the mend my friend

I'm here
And I'm on the mend
I'm here
And I'm on the mend my friend

Was it you?
Sat alone
Here we go
Here we go
Here we go
Here we go

WAIT A MINUTE!

The Wikipanel says that WILLIAM GOLDSMITH is in this band.  Care to comment, BillG?

(And pardon my tardy realization; Foo Fighters isn't in my normal musical spectrum.)
Forget everything else other than this...  Dave Grohl is just the nicest guy in the whole wide world.
Talk About the Passion!

Definitely a good track.  I remember there was a phenomenal marketing push for their 2021 album and the band even appeared on Saturday Night Live, but that album just wasn't as good as their older stuff.

Here it is, October - and I'm sitting here with my furry cat in my arms, and we're discussing a tropical island. How cool would THAT be? Cats, maybe a couple of dogs, on an island where there are no predators, no stray cats, no nosy neighbors... lots of trees to climb (and if a couple of them were pine - yeah, I know - humor me here, okay?) A small boat with an outboard motor to get to and from the mainland (wherever the mainland might be) for provisions...

This song just sorta made me rethink my dream. I used to want a little patch of land at the base of the Ruby Mountains, but that would involve an airtight cabin wth a wood stove, a stockpile of wood, and a wraparound porch so I could watch the snow fly.  My different dream is a cabin on a beach in a place that never sees hurricanes, or a small island with a few trees, a beach, a hibachi, and a pontoon plane once a month to take my order for cat food (no litter, because, hello, BEACH...)

Geez, I don't know what I want. I want everything. Anywhere I end up, though, I want to be able to access RadioParadise. I know that sounds like a shameless plug, and maybe it is - but RP has pulled me through some bad things, just like my physical friends, and if I could have an isolated world with RP and limited access to complicated friends, I'd love it.

Anyone who wants to join me on this magical island - I've got brochures.

Hopefully we all shall meet on that island,  What a good time we will have.

damn, Taylor Hawkins passed away 5 months ago. Feels a lot longer.

..and I miss you too Cynaera.  Your words live on in Radio Paradise.  Your love and appreciation for a vast array of music speaks volumes about the fine human being that you were while you were among us.  I am touched by the continuing outpouring of love and gratitude from fellow listeners.  It is awesome !

Rather than join you on your island, we could make bridges out of living trees that connect all our islands together and we can merge with every creature in every realm of this magical universe

RIP Taylor Hawkins
Grohl not screaming is a real nice change of pace.
Just the one tune really, isn't it Dave.
"and if I could have an isolated world with RP and limited access to complicated friends, I'd love it."  How perfectly said.
I never heard the Foo Fighters better,  sort of Nick Drake-esque.
Hey, somebody's got to fight the foo!
First time I've heard a FF song I really dug. They sound more like Beck here.

Roger that, and+1 to 8 to highlight how sweet this one sounds to my ears...LLRP!
Love this.
The "softer" acoustic side of this double album (the entire second disc, or the last 10 tracks) is sublime and fantastic.

Love the gentle, dreamy vibe of this song.
Madly love this song. Reminds me of an old friend who met an untimely death and my coming to grips with losing her. {#Cry}
Love me some Foobeck.
Hands down made me a convert. Not a fan otherwise other than the hit "Learning To Fly". Glad I heard this. Maybe I'll explore further.
Wow, Thought this was Beck!
Still solid on my shortlist of favourite musical tracks. Can't get enough of it.

It's a perfect blend of melodylines and bass line. Not sure about the lyrics, but they just meld away with the song.
So good today.  ↑ for these Bristolian ears.  Now a 9.
Look at that — real proof that you don't always need to bang your head to get a point across, to express a valid feeling or to prove that you're a world class songwriter.  I love it when they rock it hard, but wow — it looks like there's more under there than I thought.  I'm very pleasantly surprised to see that kind of depth and breadth from Dave and the boys.  Got my vote; just don't stop screamin' altogether...

Boring, redundant, thud drone crap.

These guys wouldn't know a hook if it stuck in the ass.

Interesting criticism coming from someone who took their user name from a 7½-minute-long song, which arguably epitomizes those qualities, well except for "redundant"; I think you may have meant "repetitive".  To each his own.

After listening to the new album, I'm going to disagree. Nothing about 'neurotic repetitive pop-rock' on Wasting Light.

Easily one of the best true "rock n roll" bands to surface in the last two decades. Grohl is a genious and his band isn't too shabby either.

I'm so with you on this.  I've said before that I don't think Dave is that much of a song writer, but this song is really good.

I love this cd. The softer side of it is amazing. What a great voice.
Nice!
Okay, this must just be the groove I'm meant to have today. Judie Tzuke's "Break Your Skin" (and I'm STILL trying to lock into lyrics for it - Calypso_1? HELP!), Cowboy Junkies, and now Foo Fighters.  I should be writing now. No, not commenting on this lovely music, but actual writing. I have five semi-manuscripts pending, and I haven't felt like writing anything of substance for a long while now.  This music set is gooooood...{#Sunny}

this song shows the full scope of this great band and Davies many talents. I am sure that over time this CD will become a classic in the ranking of  12 Dreams of Dr Sardonicus (Spirit) or Eat a Peach  (Almond brothers)!
Nice wind song!  Continue the flow~
Rather nice indeed.

Makes me want red wine, tall grass near the ocean, and a sunset.
Kind of a yawner. Pretty tho.
Has a sort of over-orchestrated uninspired old Pink Floyd vibe going on.
