I was gettin' a bit of a ZZ Top La Grange vibe.

Nice... Got this one on LP. It also includes Rory Gallagher as guest on 1-2 tracks, if I remember correctly.

Haha, the Yardbirds with Rory Gallagher!  I have this album somewhere in my mess. There were actually two albums,  methinks, with lotsa cool guests.

Hey Bill, I've never heard Rory Gallagher on RP...he was a fine guitarist and singer who wrote some great songs...

Yes, I have it. Bought it 1984, it´s a great tune!
I agree—Blast from the past — very cool!  devildog wrote:

For everyone out there,  these are members of the Yardbirds.
That's why it's Led Zeppelinish.

....but I'm so tired of cryin', I'm on the road again.....
...respect for the harp...
Led-Zep but I also hear Ted Nugent's "strangle hold" beat
Canned Heat'sons?
yes, more cowbell, definitely

Yawn fest. Harmonica Harmonica Harmonica. Where is the guitar... Better yet...Where is the Le GRANGE?
Do you think it would benefit from some cowbell instead?
A box of frogs, sounds like fun!
Led Zep...ish? Sounds like the Box of Frogs are back to their same old Box of Trix!

Don't just stop at La Grange --- On The Road Again by Canned Heat, Saving Grace by Tom Petty, on and on and on ... Speaks to the resilience of a 50 year old chord progression. And, for what it's worth, I like em all --- even the Petty tune.
Great White?? sounds familiar.
not crazy about the song but nice find... a supergroup I had never heard of.
Most excellent. Some iconic muscians and very recognizable. Thank you!

Good stuff. Nice band name too, which can be prefixed by all sorts, eg "As much fun as ", "As slippery as ", "As croaky as ", :o)
I agree with the others who don't particularly care for the name but thank you for making it a little more fun.
It jams..quite likable

Eh, good point. I looked at the band name and couldn't think of why anyone would want to name themselves that...
It is close to the name of one of Robin Hitchocks CD's. (Globe of Frogs) A good one by the way.

Good song. Bad name for a band.

?!! No, sorry, I've never heard that phrase at football matches, and I've been supporting my team since I was knee-high to a grasshopper. Maybe it's used at matches in the US?
No, back in the 70's, Edwin Newman, an American journalist, wrote a couple of books on the uses, misuses, and oddities of the English language. He recalled hearing that at an English football match and could never trace the origins. My friends and I tried using it a few times at baseball games, but as you might imagine, it only attracted odd glances from other spectators.

OK, so maybe you'd know the origins of the phrase "bring on the phantom rasberry blower"? - used in soccer matches. I've been wondering for many a year on that one.

Pretty sure La Grange came after - so does that knock it down as a copy of a copy?

I remember Another Wasted Day being a favorite off this album in my college days. It fit...

Really a yardbirds reunion, they got Jeff Beck and Rory Gallager to play. In a interview with Jeff Beck, he said he had the tapes and ob x-mas eve, he recorded the solos. only two lame songs on the whole album. This is not the original album mix, solos cut short.
Where in the world did you find this obscure band - Yardbirds spinoff, wasn't it?
This makes me want to go drive somewhere, fast. Nice.
It sounds like a lot of the stuff from the 70s but I like it!
"Spirit In The Sky" anyone?
Like this! Thought it was from an earlier time.
cooool harp playing! nice addition!
This takes me back... good tune from a pretty well rounded album.
