Perfect seg from Ray Lamontagne, Bill—and though this guy has a little Ben Harper in him—you'll notice a definite accent. I'm not sure where from, but I think it really adds to his inflection and delivery—makes his voice quite unique and cool. Just like Ray L.

This is uncomfortably reminiscent of James Blunt, though not quite as irritating, with shades of Rod Stewart. Pretty MOR IMHO. 4 from the Nottingham jury.

Scottish! They got him to tone-down his accent for the CD, likely to appeal more to a US audience. But if you can find him live (check YouTube), or get a copy of his "Live at the Isle of Wight Festival", you will hear his full beautiful voice and accent. There is also a fantastic video of him live on Leno. I get goosebumps every time I listen to him. Maybe some of my Canadian Scottish genes bubbling away...
