I love you more than I should
So much more than is good for me
More than is good

Oh, the timing is cruel
I need and don't want to need
More than I should

I am falling
Say my name
And I'll lie in the sound
What is love
But whatever my heart needs around?

Oh, my sheet is so thin
So I say I can't sleep because
It's so very cold
But I know what I need
And if you were just near to me
Would you go?

I am falling
Say my name
And I'll lie in the sound
What is love
But whatever my heart needs around?

And it needs you
Too much
Now

Fifteen and some years ago my daughter and I watched A Love Song for Bobby Long about every six months for…a long time. I thought I recognized this voice from a song on that soundtrack. Sure enough, there it is. That movie holds such nostalgia for me, and my daughter’s teenage years, that I gotta say I got a little weepy. Can’t not like it

You could make an effort to be less annoying.
I haven't heard of the band before now and I think this is lovely. Reminds me of Mazzy Star.
Annoying, at best.....
I like this sound.  Reminds me of Aimee Mann

Either that or a great song.
I vote toward the later or at least Quite Likeable 7.
Sounds like Aimee Mann fronting Mazzy Star. A solid 7 on first listen for me.

I think you'll find it relates to the Winnie the Pooh books of AA Milne. There was a broken sign (in the 100 Acre Wood, I think) which read 'Trespassers w...' by the house which Piglet occupies. His explanation of the name is here:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piglet_(Winnie-the-Pooh)
It's a terrible song
maybe its good but not in the mood for it

Yeah, she does have a similar-sounding voice and phrasing.  Cool song and sweet production as you pointed out - kinda dreamy sounding.

And someone's real voice, flaws and all....but real, whole, organic and wonderful. So refreshing.
#DeathToAutotunePlease
Sounds a bit like Radio dept. Nice
Thought this was going to be "Black Boys on Mopeds." Would much rather be listening to "Black Boys on Mopeds".

He BillG, could you play "Black Boys on Mopeds" sometime?

whisper/ Black Boys on Mopeds /whisper
(scrolling down I see I'm not the only one who had this thought)
Cool, again thanks to RP I learnt something new: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Woozle_effect {#Clap}

It looks like their site has been disabled.  It is odd how often "soporific" comes up as a criticism for mellow or slower tunes; are there really that many people who only like songs which are faster than 200 BPM?

Yep, that drives me nuts too.
Fred, are you listening?  ; )

Reminds me of the old times when I accidentally put the switch on '33' instead of '45' on my turntable, but it sounds better than then.

lovely, thanks Bill!
What is it tonight with RP, I have been hitting 'PSD' continually.  And this inane piece of sap just makes me want to......{#Crashcomp}  {#Frustrated}... screeeeeam!

It just seems to be on a very soppy cycle at the moment.....

I was wondering if these guys would fall into the shoegazer category. They sound too mellow for the AllMusic.com definition of shoegaze: "The sound of the music was overwhelmingly loud, with long, droning riffs, waves of distortion, and cascades of feedback. Vocals and melodies disappeared into the walls of guitars, creating a wash of sound where no instrument was distinguishable from the other."
Whatever it's called, I like it. For the record, this is not the strongest track on the disc.

I listen to a lot of bands who get tagged with that label, and this band is not in that category.  Keep in mind the phrase "gazing at one's shoes" predates idiotic music writers and just because idiot music writers start a category it does not mean everyone else is precluded from using that phrase.

So wonderful. Just heard Bill say they were from Seattle and it makes perfect sense. Where else could this big hollow dark sound come from? Beautiful.

Yes, it is a nice mellow tune.

I like this tune and right now I have a side splitting headache. This is a good sign. Really is...hmmm. Imagine how I'd feel about this if I were in a good place.

weather is finally cool enough to turn off the a/c here in Austin, and to sit here in the fall breeze listening to this is rather perfect.

sounds like Mazzy Star. nice.
Aimee Mann? Okay, even if it isn't (and I haven't read prior posts, so don't hurt me!), it's still very reminiscent (did I spell that correctly?) of her vocals.

I like this song, but I need to hear it in a different venue than the one in which I currently am in order to be objective.

I've never tried Mogadon but I guess it would be like this, but less effective. Nice name, shame about the lullaby. 3 from the dozing Nottingham jury {#Sleep}
Oh my god!!!

I'm really happy to hear this song here... I've heard it so often but i never grow tired of it, to me it has an amazing feel to it.... Brings back some great memories!

It's also used in the TV show "One Tree Hill" and in the great movie "A Love Song For Bobby Long".

10, no doubt about it

LOL.  I was thinking the same thing before I pulled up the comments.  I thought this WAS Mazzy Star that I had never heard.
Nevertheless, I do like the sound of this group's work.  8/10 (initial rating).

Like previous comments i prefer Mazzy Star.  Maybe if they weren't back to back i'd give this more of a go on its own?
Thought was Aimee Mann. Still...Lovely music.

Very nice... Very, very nice.
Interesting follow up to a Mazzy Star song. I was hearing this as a combo of them and Sinead O'Connor. Two correlations I see other people have made before me.

Dave Cusick interviewed the band on his show "Post Modern Rock" which aires on KPSU (Portland State University Radio). The interview was on April 20. You can download it from his site as an MP3. Quoting from the show notes: April 20: This week's show is a Trespassers William interview and in-studio performance. Also includes music by each of the band members' side projects: Lotte, Disinterested, Roos, NC Skolrud and Tunnel-Tunnel. This is much better than Sinead's "Black Boys on Mopeds", if only because you can't tell if the lyrics are overwrought and childish.
Group name great! Music a waste of bandwidth. Pun if you like.
Wow... its great hearing these guys on the main channel.

What do you get if you cross Aimee Mann with Mazzy Star? Probably something close to this! And considering the aforementioned are two of my favorites, that's a good thing!
I live in Seattle and have never heard of this group. Being a big fan of Imogen Heap, this song presses all my buttons.
I love this.Soooooooooooo soothing,but interesting.Brilliant.
