I'm not always like this
It's something I've become,
A terrible weakness
In my nature, in my blood.

Save me, oh save me, save me from myself
Before I hurt somebody else again.

Domino motion jump starts when we touch,
The blackout approaching
Here it comes now, wish me luck

It's all over, it's all over, it's all over in a flash
I can't remember,
What have I done now?

Go go faster wider
More more get it down ya
Dance dance take me over
Glittering cloud
Go go faster wider
More more get it down ya
Dance dance take me over
Glittering cloud

Oh, my head hurts
Oh dear oh dear.

It's all over the papers
On the TV, wagging tongues
The artist's impression looks just like me
only.. better
Don't blame me, don't maim me, I can't help what I am
Oh, Lord knows I've tried to.

Go go faster wider
More more get it down ya
Dance dance take me over
Glittering cloud

I can definitely see some red as well.

Always a pleasure to hear.

My thoughts exactly
Based on the album title, seems like it should be a 2020 release.

Better loose than tight, I guess.
Unique.
I had the volume down, so I wasn't really getting all of it, but with low volume I thought it might be someone like Brittany Spears. Which I found odd on RP.
Wow, she has a lovely voice.

Amazing artist. . .one of my favourite female vocalists. . .top 20 for sure.  This song is great.  Playful, melodic, intricate. . .a gem.

Imogen is beautiful. Always amazing.

She's great, the stuff she did in the Frou Frou duo is epic

This is what you might define as an 'album track' - it doesn't show off anything new or give you much insight into her sheer amount of talent and unique performance style. Immi's first album, Speak for Yourself, was on constant rotation on my CD player for months, her second offering's pretty good too (you should still be able to listen in full on her SoundCloud).

She's doing amazing things with collaborative composition engaging her fanbase to contribute ideas for new songs then developing those into fully-fledged themes. Not only that, she's a skilled polyinstrumentalist, producer and engineer - and a very talented singer with an earwormy voice and singing style to boot! I enjoy her music immensely, even if this song is only a 6/10 for me. This is very much the exception to the rule, please go and give her first album a try, it should be available everywhere decent (we7, spotify etc).

She's great live!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So much fun. Lots of energy. Jumps all over the stage, dancing, singing, playing various instruments!

Goldblum is a very interesting dude. He plays in a jazz band in LA and whenever I've seen him interviewed he comes off as a very  intelligent, witty, cool guy. The kind of person you'd like to know. And oh yes,  I do like this tune.

What a voice....
I think that this song has something special..but is is absolutely not one of my favorites!    {#Ask}

she was dating Jeff Goldblum!!!! Don't know if she still is.

Nice voice but can't those guys stop playing ping pong while they record?
Saaave meee, oh saaaave meee...from this song. It's worth a deuce.

Love all of these women, BillG.  Great set!  And now Grey Eye Glances, with THEIR incredible vocalist!

Imogen Heap - Glittering Cloud
Anna Ternheim - Lovers Dream
Beth Orton - Thinking About Tomorrow

Has anyone else noticed that Imogen is getting much more playtime in stores, other internet radio, etc?  Not that I'm complaining :)

More than a year after I first heard this song, I still can't get enough of it. {#Hearteyes} It has fallen into my annals of all time favorites, something very rare and reserved for those few songs that I BLAST every time they come on and I want to hear immediately again after it's over. I got the Plaques CD and was really disappointed with the rest of the songs on it, but I love the abstractness of how this relates to the theme.
"I'm not always like this ...
It's something ... I've become"

Oh, you mean tedious? Since when?
Love the girl, love the song.

Like audio sex.

Me too!

The marbles just ruin this song. Can't focus on anything else. That is so annoying.
Once I silence all the voices in my head telling me this is a really effete man singing, I must admit I quite like HER voice. At times though, it is a bit over-electronified.

Ooohh baby that voice...yes, yes, YES! Coming after that tasty Morcheeba, and the Doves number, makes me wonder what might be next...the other songs before them seemed linked by a lurking, thundering bass...

Like this song more and more every time I hear it!

Another first for me today. I'm thinking I like this more than just a bit.
I like this song better each time I hear it. Thanks, Bill!
I know the title of the cover is Plague Songs...but I can't help but read it as Plaque Songs. With all those little black flecks it just makes me think of plaque as in the bacteria, and food residue that builds up on the surface of teeth and can cause gum disease.
I agree, the cover is pretty bad. Sorry guys I don't have anything that would fit for this song.
Immie!!! :)

A plain white tshirt, written black, the words that says (sic)...duh, what? Oh yes, this is a thinly veiled jibe at your linguistic skills. Come on, you can do better than that or quit dissing someone with a broader music catalogue than yours! Hahaha
Better be careful dumping on Imogen 'cause that dude that trips on Britany spears might do a freak out all over you and yourn.

I think it has to do with the complete immersion, not just the surrounding, but the exclusion of all other sounds.

STOP! I can't rank this any lower. This is insufferable.
Mmm... nothing feels better than being than being enveloped in the warm folds of mediocrity.
Why is this song so bad? Her other music is better than this...

Yes she is phenomenal, I get the sense from her YouTubes that she doesn't give a rip what anyone thinks of her or her music or her intonation. What come across to me is that MS. Heap is remarkable good at what she does and really enjoys doing it. I happen to love that breathy quality to her words.
She is amazing, no matter what she sings or the style she chooses. Her vocals are ethereal and beautiful.
