Wow. Haven't heard this guy in a dog's age! We have his Druids album kicking around the server someplace. Good in small doses, or on a lazy Sunday morning out in the forest.
As much as I love trad Irish music, the New Age variant has always made me sleepy

Agreed. I'm a sucker for playfully delightful yet simple acoustic music with nice production values.
Not everything needs to be a groundbreaking work of musical genius, and not a whole lot is. This is soothing and stirring, and stuff like this is a big part of why I listen to RP.

I'm with you but add - derivative mush - would rather go and see Liverdance with Michael Flatulence if I had the choice or eat a whole Baboon in one sitting with fries than listen to this too much....ooops, I felt a rant coming on.

It's another form of Celtic Lite music, à la Clannad, Enya, etc, and is certainly derivative of a good number of traditions and most definitely Enya in the background.
