The colorless words are burning our heels
As the bright lights of the city fade
Taking the chase to curb our fear
As the bloodless moon casts its face

Ooh, something's not right
I can feel it inside
Something's not right

You would take the breath from my throat
And you would take the cherished people that I hold

All in time you will be one of us painless, us blameless
Go to sleep, this wont hurt a bit
Shifting your shape to our shells

Ooh, something's not right
I can feel it inside
Something's not right

You would take the breath from my throat
And you would take the cherished people that I hold

And they will try to make us forget ourselves
One by one, one by one
Call me crazy but they are after us
One by one, one by one
You don't have to know the truth
If you believe it
I believe it, too

Ooh, something's not right
I can feel it inside
Something's not right

You would take the breath from my throat
And you would take the cherished people that I hold

I'm reminded of Blondie.
Well, it doesn't sound like a wretched hive of scum and villainy.

Nice. Apparently, that's what they used to be called. They shortened it to 'Eisley' just in case Lucas decided to sue.

I enjoy the combination of the chorus and the falsetto in the refrain {#Cowboy}

Love the song, the band, but not the label. The youtube video in Mari's post has been taken down by their record label for some stupid reason. That video is linked on the band's site (www.eisley.com) on the front page but it is just as broken as Mari's link. I hope Eisley learns their lesson and ditches their label. These guys are a touring band that could use all the exposure they can get.

Eisley split with Warner Bros. Records in February and are looking for a new label to release their third LP later this year.

very cool - i like it

pretty amazing stuff from some youngsters I say!

They do look rather young, don't they?

Of course, it also happens that with each new year, people around me keep looking younger and younger all the time....{#Think}

If Tori and Brittney had a baby...

This is BAD, Speaers-esque melody and vocals, but good Amos-like exestential lyrics.

So I guess I'm confused. But I KNOW I don't like it.

sure you know what you (don´t) like..?
Britney? You must be kidding!
quite likable - great melody!

Something's not right, take the breath out of this set.

I get chills every time I hear this. Memories associated with it, and being able to see them perform it live backstage was amazing. *sigh* :) I don't understand how someone can't like this song.

Anyone here a little Tanya Donelly here?
I was thinking it sounds like Poe. Either way, enjoyable.

They show promise. Another song on this CD "If you're wondering" is better crafted, but perhaps not as "cool" as this one. They are young kids, worth keeping and eye, and ear on.

Yes, quite. I'd start with their previous LP, Room Noises.

the best way to get a quality upload is to buy the CD, rip the song at 320, then re-upload it. i rip all my tracks at 320, which makes for large files, but what the heck, i have lots of memory

Has your co-worker heard Eisley before at all? I'd say Invasion is probably their most "poppy" song.. that could be good or bad, I suppose.

Gosh, love this song! Bought it on iTunes right after hearing it here last week. This song will be a hit in no time.
I\'ve had this tune in my head all week and I like it more each time I hear it. Rating upped.

Thanks! Even though I'll be seeing them perform next week, the video is the first thing I've heard from the new album that will be released on the 14th.

I quite like the "you, you, you" part. Very compelling the way she sings it.
This sounds great. I didn't even know they had a new album. I bought their first one after hearing and seeing them featured on a Paste cd and dvd and enjoyed it quite a bit. I'll have to pick this up.

Nice to see one of their songs make the rotation!!!! I have uploaded a couple but this is off the new album. Thanks RP!!!
I should add that the song's lyrics/music video are heavily influenced by "Invasion of the Body Snatchers", if you haven't figured it out already.
