Well said.

Applied to Bruce, I think this statement has some merit, but only in the context of having successfully reconnected with the vibe that drove him when he was young, which Magic surely does. If you're suggesting that old farts simply get stale and end up recycling their sound, then I commend to you Tom Petty's Mojo.

Never understood Meg's fascination with Bruce when we were in Jr. High School... I guess it just took me a long time to get mature enough to appreciate Mr. Springsteen.

Solid rockin' effort!  Sounds just like what you expect from the E-street band.  Solid 8

What kind of foolishness is this?!? You cannot plagiarize your own sound.  Every band sounds like itself.  Every artist sounds like him/herself.  That's because it is THEIR sound to do what ever they want with.

This is GREAT Springsteen and the E St. Band in any era delivering their trademark rock and roll.  If you don't like the boss, that's fine but don't belittle his music with rediculous criticism.

I did not inherit the Bruce Gene.

Uggggghhhhh
Is this some of his new stuff?

Bruce does Nickelback.
This is more like the E-Street Template than "sound". Springsteen doesn't strike me as the kind of guy that would need to do this kind of thing. It's not like he was in the Eagles or something.
The earth it gave away The sea rose towards the sun I opened up my heart to you It got all damaged and undone My ship Liberty sailed away On a bloody red horizon The groundskeeper opened the gates And let the wild dogs run
yuko ! Now I know why I never was into Bruce. Yuk.

Derivative Bruce. Boring.
Vintage Bruce/E Street. Welcome back.
Normally not a Bruce fan at all, but this is the third song off this cd I've liked. . . dammit, I gotta add this one to my outstandingly long list of stuff I will eventually buy when I win the lottery. All due to RP, of course. I'd never have heard 90% of the great stuff I've come across here anywhere else.
A boring song from a mediocre musician.
This sounds like a slow verson of cover me, I couldn't get past that.
Nice mug shot, Bruce! (p.s. U R living in the past, Dude!)
Gotta love the Big Man on sax

Not quite as bombastic as a lot of his other stuff, I guess.
Bombastic. Good description of most of Bruce's work, especially the early dreck. Yeah, this is OK. Not painful.
this song sounds really good bruce - cant wait till october
Not quite as bombastic as a lot of his other stuff, I guess.
he needs to payhimself a royalty for 10th Avenue Freezeout for the music of this song
nice to hear him going back to some of his old sounds...
sounds like Cover Me from Born in the USA with a little rosalita mixed in..
