The thing that makes me feel the most down,
Is the feeling that I'm living in a ghost town.
Barn door bangin' in my face,
Like tumbleweed,
I'm rolling 'round this place.

I see you arriving at the station,
But it's only my imagination.
So I'm begging on my knees,
Turn around,
And save me, baby, please.

From this ghost town,
I feel like giving in,
Since you left I'm living in,
An old ghost town.

Hey kid, I remember all the laughter,
Especially when we woke the morning after.
Why did you have to go away,
Leaving me to wander every day.

In this ghost town,
I feel like giving in,
Since you left I'm living in,
An old ghost town.

We were born to ride,
Side by side.
We are always reaching for the stars,
And they can still be ours.

(If you free me from this)

Ghost town,
I feel like giving in,
Since you left I'm living in,
An old ghost town.
I feel like giving in.
Since you left I'm living in,
An old ghost town.

I feel like giving in,
Since you left I'm living in,
An old ghost town.

Living in an old ghost town

It's a common mistake to think just anyone can write a song and stick a reggae beat to it.
First you need the right voice, then the right song...this is neither.
Curious as to the qualifications of the right someone (not just anyone), right voice, right song - please expand.
Hey, this is pretty good!  Caught my attention enough to crank up the volume.

Excellent. Its a shame that such a promising young talent gets scant radio play here in the USA. Thank god for RP.

Katie Melua on the RP playlist. Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear!! It'll be Celine Dion & Whitney Houston next!! Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it was a cheap trick to make another song entitled Ghost Town with a reggae beat. But perhaps it will sell a few albums to unsuspecting customers...
Well said. I won't be in that group. The song is way too shallow.

Katie Melua wants me! Shut up, I can dream can't I? :-)
Good song by Katie Melua, but she has MUCH better albums out there. First one if called "Call off the search", the second is; "Piece by Piece".

Huh? This is reggae? Who knew. As reggae, this sucks. As mellow pop, it's pretty good.
everything with an off beat is either reggae or ska

I respectfully disagree

UUUUrrrrrgggghhh !! Please make it stop. Not even going to score it. Simply awful. An alltime RP low for me.
Her music is so laid back, it makes Norah Jones sound like Janis Joplin.
Reggae doesn't suit her voice at all

Funny, I wouldn't have really thought of this as reggae. But I really like it - I haven't heard her before. If you like this, be sure to check out The Pierces. Those girls are amazing. Thirteen Tales of Love and Revenge is my new favorite album. I think they would fit well on RP, if they haven't been played already.
Would stand repeated listening! Nice distinctive voice the lass has!
I like the horn riff at the very end...

The more I hear this song - the more I like it. Katie is a wonderful addition to RP. Thank you!
nice

Good. Katie Melua on RP. Very happy......indeed.
Song was ok. Not great. I've heard much better songs of hers. This is new, need more time to listen to it.
