I had a head fulla trouble, I was coming undone
Everything I did or didn't do or ever wanted to was wrong
But the haze is burning away in the heat of the Sun
And the wind is lifting me, yeah my life has just begun

Drift away on the wind like smoke
Like smoke, drift on the wind like smoke

Oo-oo, (I am rising like The Sun)
can you hear me comin' now?
can you hear me?
Oo-oo, (It's like my life has just begun)
can you hear me comin' now?
can you hear me?

Hey, I been waiting for the sun to shine
On this straight line I'm walkin'
To light my days
To warm the blood in my veins
And set fire to my paper wings, mm hmm, ah

Drift away on the wind like smoke
Like smoke, drift on the wind like smoke

(Hey hey)
Oo-oo, (I am rising like The Sun)
can you hear me comin' now?
can you hear me?
Oo-oo, (It's like my life has just begun)
can you hear me comin' now?
can you hear me?
Can you hear me comin'?

RIDEOUT

Na na, nananana na na nanana nanana
Na na, nananana na na nanana nana
Oh Wind, I'm still bird enough to fly, don't pass me by

Ahh. Almost enough to wash the country-fried crapola taste left by the last three "songs" out of my mouth.

OK, I'm hearing Guadalcanal Diary (at least in the vocals).

Whoa! Love the beat. And the cadence of the chorus is awesome. 8/10
Wow ! Impressive !!
The opening had me expecting strains of "Barra Barra", but, alas, it was not to be.

Cool background beat, but the singer does absolutely nothing useful with it.  2.
took me a while to figure this out - reminds me of Butthole Surfers' Pepper:

i don't mind the sun sometimes, the images it shows, i can taste you on my lips and smell you in my clothes...
Kind of interesting. He sounds like the guy from Janah.
{#Puke}
I like the mid-east sound.  Not bad at all.
I dig this tune and ones like it.
They have that eerie and mysterious allure.

I've now heard this song twice on RP and I still think it's TERRIBLE.  Where's the skip button when you need it?  {#Puke}
Love this!  {#Guitarist}
Why do you play this?
Parts of it remind me of "The Tower Who Ate People".. that Peter Gabriel track from a while back...
Decent, at least.

......not so much.....

My first thought was Butthole Surfers, but I definitely hear the Rusted Root as well. Little, yellow, different.

I haven't heard this song before and in the middle of the song I thought Bill was doing another awesome cut over because I thought I heard a little of Siouxsie and the Banshee's but, no. And I can hear now that the end does not offer any way to cut to Siouxsie. Alas, I'll just have to wait for it to come up in the regular play list.

Funny, because after this listen, I much preferred it. I see your RR stylings too.
Even the hint of Led Zep?

Now I got it.. Queensryche! Gotta listen to some more of that...
I hear a little Live in the vocals-first listen, but I like.
3, and barely hanging on to that.

Talking Heads meet Insane Clown Posse! I like it :)
This is new to me; I like it very much.

Nah, spare me that... but uh, I was speaking in relative terms to numetal, LP in comparison to the rest of the even worse dreck. Got any nu metal you think is any good? I haven't heard much yet of it I can tolerate.

PLEASE tell me you're joking. Nothing about what Linkin Park does is intelligent. Dull, formulaic, derivative, lacking, simplistic, and inane are all far better adjectives. Here's a sample of their lyrical "genius" for anyone who isn't immediately acquainted with them. "Somewhere I Belong - Linkin Park" I wanna heal, I wanna feel what I thought was never real I wanna let go of the pain I've held so long (Erase all the pain till it's gone) I wanna heal, I wanna feel like I'm close to something real I wanna find something I've wanted all along Somewhere I belong If you think THOSE are intelligent, you should see the TONS of awful poetry I wrote in fifth grade. Tries too hard, falls short. Amen to the description of Live with Flea on bass.
Funny to see all the different bands people mention here. I came online to see if this was Tool, because this song reminded me of them in many ways. Whatever. Likeable, but not something that I think would hold my interest for long.
This works well in the right mix, as is the case now.
There are bits of this that remind me Flowers of Romance era Public Image Limited.

is this the nu-metal the kids are talking about?
No, this is much tamer, though it has some musical elements of it in a limited way. From wikipedia:
(nu metal)... fuses influences from grunge and alternative metal with funk music, hip hop and various heavy metal genres, such as thrash metal and groove metal. Nu metal music emphasizes mood, rhythm, and texture over melody. Often, nu metal songs use rhythmic, syncopated riffs played on distorted electric guitars with strings detuned to lower pitches to create a dark and thick sound... many nu metal bands came from Southern California. Bands such as Snot, Manhole, Linkin Park, Human Waste Project, P.O.D., and Korn are early nu metal bands all from Southern California
If you hear Korn, Linkin Park and their 'successors' it sounds like a lot of rappin' and screamin' over some very harsh thrashy, minor key guitar attack with lyrics about violence to women, children, others and self, which I find mostly unlistenable. Tune in to one of those atrocious Clear Channel based 'heavy metal' stations nowadays and that's what they play. It sounds much more like Marylin Manson or Nine Inch Nails with rap tossed in and drone-ish segments along with some thrash style punk guitar styles with vocal stylings that are probably the most annoying kind of screaming ever heard. It's all designed to upset your system as much as possible. I think I dislike it more than any other musical genre, although there are a few interesting songs or bands in it, I probably dislike it more than thrash, bad rap, bad country, annoying bubblegum pop or any other bad music as nu metal seems aimed to really give you a headache and make your day miserable.
different! :)

I don't care who it sounds like. It "sounds" like Aaron English . . . and I'm curious to hear more. Quite interesting. Driving, sexy, hard-funky. Have to check him out.
Liked the starting hook. Might have to hear this a couple of more times to make a final decision. I do agree, Live with Flea on bass is a good description.
