Reminds me of Kimya Dawson from the Juno soundtrack.  I'm with the majority here - a little too cutsy and kid sounding - but I get it.
I just had to look up my login just to ask
Please, please, no more of this one.....
it's just painful
actually so is the Pogues-I'm a man you don't meet every day that just followed it.

I get the concept but yuk.
sounds like a children's song to me
Twee.
This isn't a 10 by any means, but I really like the simplicity of it.  It's refreshing.
Yea, I am in agreement with the majority here, I never understood what people see in this band.{#Stupid}
Sounds just like Alanis singing.  Not a good thing.
Felt compelled to register just to vote against this drivel!
Yes it´s a slow pony, almost done. Sorry, can´t stand this one.
Here's some irrelevant trivia: in the 'betting industry' in the UK, a 'pony' is £25. (£500 is a 'monkey' so a monkey = 20 ponies.) I just thought you'd all want to know that :o)

Me no likey {#Silenced}
She missed the express pony and had to take the slow pony doing all the stops all the way home.
Jup, I can relate to this. ;)
This is adorable.  Love it musically but really fell for it lyrically the first time I heard her say "...For a girl.  On a slow.  Pony home."

I don't mind being in the minority; I usually am.  LOVE YOU BILL AND REBECCA!
I like this song.  I don't understand why all the negative comments.
Only the existence of Sparklehorse keeps this from being The Worst Band Name Ever.
Yeah what that last guy said.  He was truly incisive.
Unlike others here i like this and if you don't ...well folk you!
Time to move "Hideaway" from the LRC to the main playlist.

Stop breathing the helium, dude.

Your highest rated list is ultra-mainstream.  Why do you even listen to this station instead of say, your average FM station?

There's something I can't quite define about this group.  I just like them; I don't know why.

Rich guitars. I can understand why some people might find it annoying, but I find it touching.
I think I can hear my great mother talking to me when I was very young.

You could see with your soul, while you hear it.. I hope you can

The name sucks, too. That's 4 strikes, so one of 'em must have been a foul.{#Lol}

Reminds me a bit of the gal from the Moldy Peaches... except this gal sings a little better.

Ugh

"Suitcase heart" ?

And people complain about Alanis.  {shakes head}

Surprising how many were motivated to rate it low while so many thought highly of it. Just goes to show . . .

People need to be taught to like something that is good by those who know the difference. (Kidding. Sort of.)

What a disappointing rating distribution... sigh.

Deb and Steve are working on a new album in the studio right now, for which I am happy.  They are actually auctioning off the amp that was used for the recording of this album - follow them on twitter.  Who knows how much it will go for, though :)

I actually think the lyrics of this song are just great. Poetry. Fab

Yes, Linus; I think you're right.

Aargh!
Ooh goodie, another cutesy girl singer who overpronounces her 'r's to and tries to sound like a 13-year-old who's never held a microphone before.
"Authenticity" devolves into gimmickry...{#Frustrated}.

More like very annoying!

What I like about this pair's songs are the simple elegance, both musically and lyrically.  You could discard them as trite, but then, the most beautiful things in the world are simple.  This song in particular seems to use every word to its greatest effect in painting a very clear picture.

Are you certain that this is a registered trademark? I do tend to agree with the sentiment, regardless of its legal status.
Sorry, pretty bad.
Reminds me of Sarah Harmer (a good thing)
Can't stand her voice... yet I can't stop listening... weird.

Utterly insipid and totally sophmoric.

In fact, I weep any time I hear this piece of crap, and not because it's endearing or heart-rendering.

Not garbage! :)
Kimya dawson is annoying. This is likable...
I can't stand a girl singing with a girl voice - oh oh. . .
Garbage!!!
Squirt tears you emo punk!

I agree.  This sounds like a 10 year old, or someone trying to sing while opening their mouth as little as possible.  Maybe both.

Here's my critical opinion:

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
boring

Guess I'm one of the few who actually like this one...
And all that time, I felt just fine I held so many people in my suitcase heart That I had to let the whole thing go It was taken by the wind and snow And I still didn't know that I was waiting For a girl on a slow pony home I love the image of a "suitcase heart" ... and I like this sweet song.

Hmm . . . I think I see what you mean. Next, Bill?
"Weepies," eh? 'Tis enough to make one weep, 'tis that.
Boring cliché The music is out there..
The prob isn't the mood...its the way the singer is annunciating. It's quite vexing.

Well Derek, we are on a slow pony home, eating Trix, and listening to the Weepies right now, so why don't you listen to it like the rest of us, and perhaps when it's done we can play something you like. Now let's sit in a circle, hands in the air. . .
