We ride through
These plains of hurt
Through the Southern breathing rock
On a railroad of knots
And there's blood on the lines
Of every page I turn
When the ones you love
Are the ones you burn

Being here
Being here ooh oh
Being here

Somewhere singing songs
About a girl I hurt
I've been everywhere enough
I've been torn apart by the world
But there's apples in the trees
And diamonds in the earth
I've been losing my mind
Somehow it can't get worse

Being here
Being here ooh oh
Being here

And the wind is blown and cold
And I can't escape the tears
One for every broken bone
And a hundred for all the years

Being here
Being here ooh oh
Being here

Being here
Being here ooh oh
Being here

Slight correction - Julien is a man. (check the band's website or AMG)

FANTASTIC SONG!{#Bananajam}
All Right!!, a driving anthemic rock song (from 2008)! {#Bananajam}{#Drummer}{#Bananapiano}{#Bananasplit}

Wow, this is fantastic. I was working in the other room and just heard a snippet of this but had to come in and see who it was. Great stuff!

i agree.  cranked it up BIG TIME.

Weird little key change in there.
GREAT sounds from the Great White North (Quebec) and a COOL drummer to boot (Julien Blais)! {#Drummer}

edit (1/19/09) — thanks for telling me the drummer isn't a woman.  Oops {#Cheers}

Not much of a reach for a sound in 2008 imo, but not altogether terrible.

Agreed.  Not bad, just bland.  Sounds like it should be playing the background of an MTV reality show...
Great! Reminded me of some really brilliant bands of the eighties! Beautiful Voice!

Wow it's got a melody!!!!!
Better anthem-izing than U-know-who.
I like this a lot..

Liking this a lot.
Wow this is good.

Sounds kind of like it's of out of the same genre as Queen and the Who, with symphonic elements, yet just basic rock with some terrific bridges to spice it up nicely and drive the music into ecstasy.

Is it the snare that makes them sound like a bar band?

Not sure what to think....

i was gonna rail on the pretictable 80's snare, but that riff broke in and i had to scrap it. great song. i guess i wasn't the only good thing to come out of the 80's...

This song needs a higher rating. It's quiet good imho.

I dig it. {#Dancingbanana_2}
Best thing I've heard from The Stills to date.
Somehow the skull fits the song opening; dramatic.
