First time I ever had to mic a sousaphone for a live show was working with this great band. "Just drop it down the bell" says the tuba player! Sounded great and they always put on a great live show!

This song is sort of their "hit" radio friendly tripe.Not indicative of most of their music.Most of their tunes have an Eastern European flavor to them. Sort of like a milder version of GoGo Bordello (they have shared billing with them in the past)
 Saw them at Redrocks open for David Byrne really liked it. Saw them at the Paramont- fantastic. Seeing them with the Colorado symphony in June.

the ex love-of-my-life introduced me to these folks in Feb 2005. I loved them and their sound - until we broke up. Up until last month, I couldn't listen to their album/CD. But finally put it in the CD player in the car on a drive to Bend, OR from Gilroy, CA.I didn't cry my eyes out! Hooray!!!  Almost threw the CD away, but haven't yet. The singer from DeVotchka - his voice still breaks my heart - but not with memories of the ex-creep. Double hooray!!!
Such a distinct sound they have!

I went to the concert- With three hundred other people, in a tiny room in The Mercury Cafe in Denver. The whole band was just standing around, chatting with people. It was AMAZING.
