Really got a kick out of T-Rex - and only recently found out how long his career was... Marc Bolan kept plugging and simply fell out of favor. I thought he OD'd after a few albums, but sadly he seemed to be coming back, had a contract for a decent BBC show and was in death seat in a car crash. [At least he didn't OD after a few albums...]

I lived through the T Rex hysteria as school boy and he had a sting of UK number one hits, this tack wasn't one of them. Typical Radio Paradise to pick an obscure album track. Guess that's why I love this station.

Marc should have sued the shortening out of those clowns.

There must be some marketing genius who can talk knowledgeably about the difference in American and British brand name "strategies." I can't imagine Trex the vegetable fat would fly in the US any more than would Daz or Persil, the laundry detergents.

Back I go again! RP has a mechanism for taking me back to my younger times, and T. Rex is right there.

We played this over and over in my high school dorm - we all contributed to buying albums and then some guys went into town to select a number of albums. High school was overrated; the music was great.

The long lost classic rock station in Larose La. would play "jeepster" one other T-Rex tune regularly, and lots of the less well known tunes by the greats in classic rock, almost like Bill likes to do.
Sadly (for classic rock fans near there) the station was competing with the N.O. market, but was a small local station.
Ads for it were local to the bayou and they went Cajun music after several good years (I lived in Kenner and could get them in my car, but in much of N.O. could not) of great rock. More power to them though. Cajuns galore in their listening area, and no real good cajun music station...till they changed.
