Me too!   Thanx RP!

Serious Brooklyn vibe! Makes me want to strut down Bedford Ave. in Billyburg.

Is this what Klesmer sounds like (minus the driving bass beat)?  Seriously, I'm basing it on the clarinet and horns... I don't know squat about Klesmer.

Edit:  Looked it up and there definitely IS a big Klesmer influence via two of the members being from that tradition.  That being said, looking up Klesmer in Zune Pass came up with a MUCH different sounding music... currently listening to "Leo Fuld" and what is described in his Wikipedia as "The Seargent Pepper's of Klesmer"... and the only similarity is clarinet and accordian.  That may be the most tenuous analogy I've ever read btw... What's the:

"Seargent Pepper's of Punk"?
"Seargent Pepper's of Funk"?
"Seargent Pepper's of Metal"?
"Seargent Pepper's of Grunge"?
"Seargent Pepper's of Classic Country"?

Hehe, first I just thought of "the best of the best" in each category, but then it proceeded to album covers where you reprise the original SP's cover per that genre... my brain wanders severely.

Anyway, its always good to hear new stuff.  And if every I every encounter Mr. Fuld's name, I'll know who is was.

if you want Klesmer - check out  " oy  devision "

These guys rock !!!  great live show- 8 for the musik  + 1  for being felow israelis {#Dancingbanana_2}
RP-fare gimmicks should at least be musical.
I dig this, good mission-time music.  reminds me of the Spam Allstars who also have a funny name but make the same kind of odd, ethnic, instrumental beats.  Gives my spreadsheet proofing some purposefulness. Play some more, Bill!
Sounds like they're saying "Vulcan Beatbox". I want to see Spock in a rap battle now.
Saw these folks up-close and personal at a music festival a few years ago. They had the crowd going nuts.  One of the most popular acts to show up at this particular event in recent years. They put on an energetic show.  Unless your a fan of eastern/klezmer, etc music you'd probably not enjoy the band.  One of the players kept teasing the audience to get up and dance (in heavy Russian-type accent) "Come on.  Get up and dance.  All twelve of you."  (And while you're at it, how about some Goran Bregovic "Wedding Cocek"  That'll get you toe-tappin')

Truth in advertising — they sound exactly like their name implies.

Not bad.  Better than Devotchka.  And Golgol Bordello, too.

This is fowl.{#Lol}   All joking aside, Bill, this is the worst thing I've heard on RP in a long time. Ugh.{#Puke}
"Strange" is the most negative comment here?  Let me up the ante directly to Jeez, that's incredibly annoying.  And it's just getting worse. . . .

strange..... {#Ask}
Oh yes!  Here's my "8".  What - no rooster emoticons?

Excellent! How 'bout some Boban Markovic to keep the Balkan vibe going?   8.

waaaaaaahhhh!

I just got a mental picture of broad-hipped peasant women wearing aprons and cloth hats dancing around waving  napkins in the air while a bunch of drunken yodelers in ledder-hosen are waving beer mugs and smiling.

My Gawd, is it time to leave the office yet.  I think I've been here waaayy too long.
