She was more like a beauty queen from a movie scene
I said, "Don't mind, but what do you mean I am the one
Who will dance on the floor in the round?"
She said I am the one who will dance on the floor in the round

She told me her name was Billie Jean as she caused a scene
Then every head turned with eyes that dreamed of being the one
Who will dance on the floor in the round

People always told me be careful what you do
Don't go around breaking young girls' hearts (hee-e!)
And mother always told me be careful who you love
And be careful what you do 'cause the lie becomes the truth (hey-hey!)

Billie Jean's not my lover
She's just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son (hoo!)
She says I am the one but the kid is not my son (hee-hee-hee, hee-hee-hee, whoo)

For forty days and forty nights, the law was on her side
But who can stand when she's in demand, her schemes and plans
'Cause we danced on the floor in the round
So take my strong advice
Just remember to always think twice
(Don't think twice, do think twice (Ah-hoo!)
She told my baby we'd danced 'till three then she looked at me
Then showed a photo, my baby cried, his eyes looked like mine (oh-no!)
Go on dance on the floor in the round, baby (hee-hee-hee)

People always told me be careful what you do
Don't go around breaking young girls' hearts (hee-e!, don't break no hearts!)
She came and stood right by me, then the smell of sweet perfume
This happened much too soon, she called me to her room
(hey-hey!)

Billie Jean's not my lover (hoo!)
She's just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son (dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-dun-hoo!)

Billie Jean's not my lover
She's just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son (no-no)
She says I am the one but the kid is not my son

(Hey!)

(Whoo!)

(Chicka, chicka, chicka)

She says I am the one but the kid is not my son (hoo!)
Billie Jean's not my lover
She's just a girl who claims that I am the one
But the kid is not my son (no-no-no, no-no-no, no-no!)

She says I am the one, but the kid is not my son
She says I am the one, (you know what you did!) she says he is my son (breaking my heart, baby!)
She says I am the one,

Billie Jean's not my lover
Billie Jean's not my lover
Billie Jean's not my lover
Billie Jean's not my lover
Billie Jean's not my lover
Billie Jean's not my lover

After Leaving Neverland and the show on Oprah after the movie. I have NO Doubt he was a serial pedophile. You’d have to watch both to understand just how he pulled it off with so many people believing he’s innocent.

Billie Jean was not his lover. Unfortunately for little Billy though, he was. I feel like whether the music is good or not, when someone is a documented (if not convicted) pedophile then they should be taken out of rotation. I know that a lot of great music has been made by less than savoury characters, but it takes a special kind of freak to ply young boys with alcohol and fondle their genitalia. Regardless of the size of the out-of-court cash settlement, I don't think this type of behaviour should be excused. I guess I'm funny like that.

I would agree with you if it was a FOR SURE thing that he did molest kids.  I for one don't believe he did.  At least not like it was reported.  Do a bit of reading about the accusers, hell they're the ones that should be in trouble.  They "heard" about their kids being molested by MJ and what was the first thing they did?  CALL A LAWYER!  Not me, if I heard this from my kid's mouth, it would have been cops first.

Play MJ's music and forget about the terrible tabloid stuff...and think about all that he did good for kids...sick kids, dying kids, poor kids...and believe less from those who were out to get him and his money.

LONG LIVE RP!

Right?!! No Fear Bill, it's why I've been listening for a million years, why I donate, and why I keep coming back.

Woulad I create a Michael Jackson pandora station? Probably not, but this is most enjoyable right now.

You go, Bill.
Classic stuff. Play it more often than once every two years!

This has nothing to do with music elitists. It has to do with what he was. Personally, I am glad he is gone. Wish I do tolerate any of his music.
yes yes.. {#Mrgreen}
This is the first time that I shut Radio Paradise off. Michael Jackson, No Way!!!{#No}
Sucko Barfo.  PSD doesn't work.  FML.

I kinda feel RP is a little shy towards R&B, Soul, and Dance music.  As eclectic as Bill's mix is, I think it could use a smidge more of the aforementioned genres.  i mean (as of 11/03/2014) 221 votes with an average rating of 7.7 and RP hasn't played this song in over a year?

jmho.

Fully agree
Just have to bop along it's so very much alive!

You, sir and/or Madam, are an optimist.
It is what it is. Me, it is good to hear it!

Michael Jackson in general may not appeal to most RP listeners, who I think would prefer to veer away from pop music (and that's why we listen to RP and not to the pop stations on FM), but MJ has got a few works with Quincy Jones that are truly catchy masterpieces even if they are in the pop music genre.

They deserve the occasional play in Bill's eclectic mix, and I welcome it. Very enjoyable to hear this thrown in the mix.

The whole point of RP is to provide variety. If you have a problem with this, then why are you here? Don't let the door hit your ass on the way out iTuner.

Masterpiece!   ...please don't go easy-listening on us tho, Hall and Oates and Madonna and so on

That was a turd in the punchbowl!

Where have i heard this before? It sounds familiar.
I wouldn't put this on a playlist at home but it's GREAT to hear right after a great Bonnie Raitt song. Where else can you get that kind of mix?!?
  Love it.
Why the eff not? :-)

I'm sitting here listening to the opening going what? this sounds like Billie Jean, no couldn't be......bet Bill thought long and hard about putting it up!

But I bet it made you smile, in a strange kind of way, as it's just made me...
Quincy Jones, genius, world famous musician/composer/arranger/producer held Michael in the highest respect musically and personally - "Our souls were joined, you know."  That's enough for me.  I really enjoyed and still enjoy the music of MJ too.  Thanks RP.  Looking forward to hearing "Beat it", "Thriller" and "Rock with you" pop up in the future.  Only 4 in the library Bill?! {#Good-vibes}

I keep having to stop listening this morning to wander off to metings, but every time I come back, something cool is playing.
My playlist this morning has been:
The Who
U2
MJ
...musically, I've had an excellent morning so far.

yep. it's probably good in some way, but i can't stand anything the goy 'sings' - oooh - oooooh. sucko-barfo & PSD.
Say what you will, it is tight, and it is show bidness.
Still loving it, after all these years.
Have to admit, it jammed, and still does...the dude could throw down and dance a mean-assed beat, and sing like a freakin' bird, too!  I remember when he was for a good long while considered the coolest dude on the planet.  I also recall that when he was just a little kid, not much older than my friends and I were, how he already had it all, from the days he sang Got To Be There and Rockin' Robin — some kids in my 3rd Grade class danced to it on stage, I can never forget — to his own (The Jackson 5ive!) TV show, through when he was the Richest Guy in the World with The Number-One-Selling-Album of All-Time, and wow, remember that wacky Thriller music video (that you can still see almost weekly in the bars in Tokyo), and hell, we loved it all, even secretly sometimes as was necessary, till, well, till he got really weird.  As far as sheer artistry goes, let it be said that Michael Jackson sure did put on one hell of a show!
This is one of those songs that I really feel like, if you can't appreciate it for its brilliance on its own terms, you're letting your opinion of the artist or genre bias you in a way that's shutting you off from some of the wonderful things in life.

Not to get all California Buddhist on y'all or anything... {#Good-vibes}

love it!...have to get up and dance! yah!
Despite the ridiculous photo on the cover of this album, MJ was straight gangsta when this came out. Rock n' Roll it ain't, but it's close enough.

And if you wanna talk great artist/producer collaborations of all time...Quincy and MJ? Fuhgeddaboutit.
F this crap on RP
not a huge fan, but I agree he deserves a place in the mix once in a while
116 BPM-Let's DANCE!

F# or G# can't remember. Where's my pitchpipe?
Genrally not an MJ fan. But this album stands out.
You kidding me?{#Eek}
His personal issues, his life outside of the music he created, aside.
I never liked his music, because I thought the music was not very good.
I felt like the hype and marketing, the ego and salesmanship associated with everything he did far eclipsed any actual musical talent he displayed. When just listening to what he did, musically, it does not appeal to me on any level. Go fig.
I can deal with hearing this once every few years.
In terms of artistic accomplishment this recording had it all when it came out and that is how it should be remembered. Whatever Michael did later with his life, this album was still fantastic.
You go Bill!!!{#Bananapiano}
Arguably, the Elvis of his age
Say what you may, this is an AWESOME song!  Who'd ever have thunk you'd hear it here?!!

Thanks Mr DJ!
WOW....'80's flashback.

Much as I try to not like this album, I just can't pull it off.  It really is (in my humble opinion) the pinnacle of pop.

This is why I love RP.  You can never predict what you might hear.

With a STRONG nod to his producer, the inimitable Quincy Jones.

After all these years...still cool!
Michael Jackson made a lot of people happy and made them dance. Hats off. RIP.

For over a decade he defined another transformation of pop music by infusing it with R&B—much like Ray Charles, Smokey Robinson, and Stevie Wonder had with prior generations.  An amazing talent and a tragically flawed individual. His work will live a very, very long time. Thanks, Bill, for having the good taste to play this today. RIP Michael and Farah.

In the 80s he was the biggest star on the planet. There was no denying his incredible talent.
Tragic that it all went so terribly wrong.
R.I.P. MJ.

Godspeed, and rest easy Michael. {#Pray}

This song rocks. R.I.P.
Why does it take his death to get such a great song played here?  Oh, well - at least it's spinning now.  Maybe the haters will give it a rest while people contemplate the loss of a mega-talented, albeit troubled, man.

This was my thought exactly.

Good bye Mr. Jackson {#Crown}
Sad to see.  He was an incredibly talented guy but fame is a harsh mistress.   'Off The Wall' and 'Thriller' were brilliant.

Thanks for playing this Bill.
Did the accusation of paternity portrayed in this song really happen to him?
What a wonderful contribution he made to the world......I am shocked at this!! RIP MJ and Farah too!

What a sad day! MJ and Farrah F.! RIP.

This is one of my favorite MJ videos.
