Use the truth as a weapon
To beat up all your friends
Every chink in the armour
An excuse to cause offence
And the boys from the hallways
Calling out your name
And true love will find them in the end

You were restless
I was somewhere less secure
So I went running to the road
And so now there's
A long list of places I was
I quit my rambling and I came home

Cause maybe I was born to hold you in these arms
Maybe I was born to hold you in these arms

Use your saints
And your mantra
And your things to keep you calm
If you stay with that asshole
He's gonna do you harm
There's a voice singing loudly on the radio
Just for you
And good fortune will find him in the end

Maybe I was born to hold you in these arms
Maybe I was born to hold you in these arms
Maybe I was born to hold you in these arms
Maybe I was born to hold you in these arms

I rarely listen to the 'mellow mix' and glad to hear songs like this one since it gets no 'main mix' airplay.  7 on first listening.

I am back to the 'rock mix' now that work meetings are over.

Long Live RP and multiple stream choices made available to us!!
I probably have to turn off this radio station tooenough of stalking on socialnetwork for political bribes and randy eager hookersgetting some alien broadcats
Ain’t nobody who should sing like ye! Yikes! And too much repetition.

Too slow and sappy and boring for my taste.
Nice!
This is the guy John Belushi creamed with his own guitar in "National Lampoon's Animal House".

This haunting and beautiful song accompanied me while donating another 10 dollars to RP, on this not so sunny "Ten Dollar Tuesday". In the last years proven to be one of the best, if not THE best investment i can possibly do.

Cheers Bill and Rebecca! Here's to the following great years of excellent music amongst this lovely community!

ROCK AND ROLL!!!!!!!!
such a shame that a beauty of a song like this one hasn't been aired for such a long long time.

i'd love to hear it again.
Love
Bad for my ears!
Pulling the plug on this.
Love Glen Hansard's voice. I'd forgotten that he and Marketa were now "The Swell Season", but I recognized his voice right away. I have so much affection for "Once" that I am inclined to like anything they do, but I really do think this is lovely.

I've tried, but I just can't stand anything I hear off this album.  I'm trying....
ho hummy whispered song...to many of them with I&W and all the other drivel.

yeah i think I'm in too....does sound good

This is my favorite Swell Season album. There's so much energy and feeling throughout the whole thing, especially "Feeling the Pull" and "High Horses" (my all-time favorite TSS song).

LOVE The Swell Season.  Their movie "Once" introduced them to me and I've been lucky enough to see/hear them live 2x during the past year.  Their live shows are truly magical, with a lovely blending of voices and simple yet beautiful music... so emotional.  I've been encouraged to explore The Frames (Glen's earlier band).  Happy to see the new album hit Bill's playlist.

You should check out the movie 'The Commitments'.

This was lovely.  :-)
