Born under a bad sign
I been down since I begin to crawl
If it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have no luck at all
Hard luck and trouble is my only friend
I been on my own ever since I was ten
Born under a bad sign
I been down since I begin to crawl
If it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have no luck at all
I can't read, haven't learned how to write
My whole life has been one big fight
Born under a bad sign
I been down since I begin to crawl
If it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have no luck at all
I ain't lyin'
If it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have no kind-a luck
If it wasn't for real bad luck, I wouldn't have no luck at all
Wine and women is all I crave
A big legged woman is gonna carry me to my grave
Born under a bad sign
I been down since I begin to crawl
If it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have no luck at all
Yeah, my bad luck boy
Been havin' bad luck all of my days, yes

Aiight son now this is what I'm talkin' about.

whoa... the best of the best
Albert King, one of the "Three Kings of the Blues," along with B.B. and Freddie. SRV is in a class by himself, right?
Glad I got to see Mr. King -- Buddy Guy, Koko Taylor, & more, too -- one KC Blues Festival on a wild and crazy weekend back in the late '80s or early '90s! Legend!
Compare this to Johnny Winters production and collaboration with Muddy Waters just a few years earlier. No comparison at all. Johnny and Mud were Hard Again. This is a big snooze fest. Something you'd hear on a Blues Cruise
Great song by BookerT but the very best version IMHO is by Cream on 'Wheels of Fire' which would get a 10 for Jack's driving bass alone. This version is only getting an 8.
Luv yu Bill & Rebecca.

Thanx tiny priest.
Do you have that $20 I owe you?

Absolutely magnificent ... amazing masters
My friend David used to say that this was his theme song. He sure did have bad luck, but he also made a lot of bad decisions that he thought was just bad luck. Oh well. I guess it doesn't matter now. R.I.P., Dave.
Absolutely do not understand the low ratings on this one.  It's a total 10 in my book.
I just keep getting surprised at the quantity of great tunes in this radio.. like no other indeed.

I'm not sure why I've got this one rated at 8 myself...it's at least a 9....so now it is...Long Live RP!!
Playing a left handed, flying V.

Pretty cool.

Eric Clapton studied Albert King and learned a lot! A great blues player.

Yah. Maybe with a bit of practice he could have made something of himself...
The King of The Blues.......Albert.
Great song!!!
This just keeps getting better.
Once again thanks PSD
Wow!
There's nothing like an upbeat song to really get me going!

Sarcasm intended.

The blues really give me the blues.

This is pretty good, but I prefer the other version that gets played on RP quite often - I can't remember the artist, but he puts more oomph into this song IMO. Still, well worth 7 from the Nottingham jury for the back-to-basics blues.

The "other" version is the original by Albert King, released in 1967. Saw him later the next year at Winterland (SF) with the Chambers Brothers and Richie Havens. Quite a night.
awesome       oh man this is quite wicked on every level  (lyrics, bass, oh yeah that quitar ay yay yaaaaayyyy)

Duck Dunn. Okay, okay...but a bass guitar is still a guitar.

Babe Ruth of the Blues

Saw him here back in the early 80s.  He's a giant of a man, but so cool.  The middle finger of his fretting hand was bandaged, but
did it affect his playing?  Not that anyone could tell.  A guitar badass!

These guys ain't bad...
Rock and roll legends Albert King and Stevie Ray only rate a 7.5?  We need to take this higher.

Not a fan of SRV at all. I find that blues screechy guitar so annoying.
Esp., b/c we listen to this station at work , it is terrible hard to concentrate with it on.
if i were at a bar playing pool? different story.

The easy fix is for you to get a job as a bartender in a pool hall that plays RP. You're welcome.

A great album all around.
Smoooooth AK & SRV {#Meditate}
Awesome! I have been listening to this song so much lately. Love this version! Check out the Cream version.

YRUAD ? You must very young with no talent for music. Almost every one I know loves SRV and the ones that don't only like country and western. I and many others wish he was still alive to kick your ass with his guitars. Go to Nashville if you think you have anything better.
