Nice to hear this pop up after a while! Never heard it until now, but apparently was being played a while back. Easy 7-8

Yes!  He played on a lot of Chris Isaak tunes!   GREAT GUITARIST!  May he rest in peace!

From Wiki......

"lead guitarist with Stockton crooner Chris Isaak and his band Silvertone, and featured in Isaak's solo albums Silvertone, Chris Isaak, Heart Shaped World, and San Francisco Days.

It was Wilsey's Stratocaster, and in particular Wilsey's use of reverb and gentle tremolo, which gave the distinctive 50's sound to Isaak classics such as Wicked Game (the simple two-note riff that opens which, in his own words, "crystallizes Wilsey's approach") and Blue Hotel..."

Kidding about being a guy? Or wearing high heels and frilly skirt?  Or dancing on a tabletop?{#Wink}

Let's BOTH dance on a tabletop.  You can be a guy and wear pants (thus ensuring that we succeed in spilling all the drinks.). {#Mrgreen}

I must say that I do have a week spot for ominous guitar music.
Very cool. Me like.

I need to get up from my desk to go run an errand, but I don't want to miss what is comin up next.

Great set!

Does everybody know why Chris fired him...?

All I know is that he did!

I was told told WILSEY nailed his - Isaac' s - girlfriend!
True...?

Wilsey sounds tooootally lost with Issacs!
Very-very unhappy and regretting!
Poor chap!
This music is nothing!

Oh, cripes, this thread has devolved into a badly dubbed version of "Inside Edition."{#Snooty}

Any comments on the rest of this album?  This song is a solid 9 from listen #1.

Nice album, but since I posted this song on the LRC I am not an objective party (smile). All instrumentals. He has a recognizeable sound, but he mixes it up a bit by taking on various styles, song by song. From echoes of Link Wray...to spaghetti Western...to some country twang...to film noir...and early rock and surf. Nice playing throughout...a beautiful soundtrack of his tone. I submitted another one off this album on the LRC, so vote up "The Rattler" if you like what you hear!

Cool!

This is Chris Isaak's original picker.  A unique and recognizable voice.
Excellent segue from Chingon - Malaguena Salerosa!

This is why I've listened to RP every day for the last five years.
It's OK.  Not much melodic variety and goes on too long.
I agree, a different yet really interesting track.  Plus the chick on the cover is hot.
I like it.
