Sorry, I had to stop what I was doing to vent about how much I hate this.
no.
I often like remakes, and I don’t hate this, but it doesn’t really add anything much over the original.

I’d prefer somethong more transformative like Luna’s Sweet Child of Mine or radiogram’s Love Vigilantes.
Hello, my name is Anderson Cortez, I’m Brazilian and I’ve been following you for more years, I love the radio, I’ve picked up a lot of bands from here to listen to the full album and today I’m passing by to leave my musical project that I did for pure inspiration, of the songs that I heard here, from the bands that enchanted me, from the remarkable moments that I spent listening to RádioParadise! LOVE YOU!

NOTE: It would be a dream to hear some of my music on the radio! <3

NOTE 2:I don't speak english, I translated it through google translator, so I'm sorry. :D

I was confused until I realized you were listening to the wrong tune. You're listening to the noise in your head. I wouldn't like it either.
Yeah, a 1.

nope.
lame.
unnecessary.

This is one the finest pop songs ever written. Why would be so up your own arse that you think you could do it better?

Thanks for your interest, you really needn't have bothered.

I doubt they believed that they could "do it better".  That is generally not why musicians do cover versions.  This was done for a "Tribute to The Cure" album - everything on it is a cover of a Cure song.  Whether this version is a "good" cover is a matter of opinion.
Taking it on it's own merits, I like this.  Mellow vibe, easy listen.  Thanks RP.

Since it was recorded for a tribute album to The Cure, maybe it was necessary.

nice seque, however!
I don't think there are enough synonyms for bad in the English language to express how really awful this is.
I thought I smelled The Cure.  Then I heard the first of the lyrics and realized it was a cover.  Yep, tastes a little different but very nice indeed.

One.  Fine.  Homage.  Hat is officially tipped.
This is a good.  A solid ocho.  {#Yes}

this is one of the few Cure songs i LOVE... it'll take a few listens to this version before i can decide if it stands on its own..

{#Curtain}  I love this cover version. {#Bounce}
I was just about to chime in and say this reminded me of The Cure...glad I read the album title first. (lol)
Very nice cover of The Cure, well done.
I'll buy that for a dollar!
Always liked this Cure song, and like this cover too. They seem to have made the song their own, even if it is a little more laid back. Gets a solid 8 from me.

It's a chilly, dreary Monday morning ... I get what you mean ... perfect!

Sounds like Irya's Playground right before they fall asleep. New definition for "Ho Hum"

{#Naughty} bleh!

My ears are hurting as much her stomach is aching  {#Grumpy}

exactly ... it makes me want to hear The Cure

I wonder if the Cure thinks this is a tribute {#Devil_pimp}
Meh.
STUPID AS AN ELK's FACE!

Im not a fan of the cure so i dont know what to think of this

If Geena Davis was a singer, she'd sound like this.

damn, this is a nice cover!
Yo La Tengo + Laurie Anderson. Nice.
Didn't waste a lot of money on the album art, did they? {#Mrgreen}
Aww I miss the bouncy groove of the original so so so much
The vocals sound fine to me, the rest sounds canned. Let's get the Wedding Present track on here!
A tribute single should be able to stand on it's own with out the original to prop it up, just as for the first time you heard the Cure perform it. In that light this cover is nearly brilliant.  7 {#Daisy}

Hmm. Good effort, but no coconut. As covers go, this one isn't a patch on the original, and I'm no Cure fan. It'll be interesting to read what Cure fans reckon to this.

Scorn to mildly bemused in the case of this long term Cure fan.

Nothing wrong with tributes though - it's just this particular one doesn't work.

"Lovesong: A Piano Tribute to The Cure" from 2006 is a more 'interesting' musak tribute that takes folk a little while to place if played in background.  https://www.amazon.co.uk/Lovesong-Piano-Tribute-Various-Artists/dp/B0007PAM56/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1276010370&sr=1-13
Beep...beep...beep...

That is the sound of the garbage truck picking up this trash.

If your going to do a tribute song, make it good please!!  I Love the Cure, but not everyone can pull it off...Sorry   {#Naughty}
this is a pretty cool cover... kinda a rainy day, sipping gin & tonic and smoking cloves thing.

really beats the 110 degree heat in Vegas right now :)
...on the whole i like this treatment, but despite that i think the vocal delivery feels too languid for the song's essence...

Recently stumbled upon an extraordinary Cure tribute album called 'perfect like cats' that has some of the most way-out covers I've ever heard. They make this version sound positively note-faithful. I think it shows the strength of the songs that both the (relatively) recognizable versions on the Just Like Heaven album and the more *ahem* unconventional versions on 'Perfect as Cats' are classy and lovely. Either that, or I just like hearing the same ol' crud recycled over n over.

On the off-chance you're wondering which is the correct album title, it's 'as' , not 'like'

This is the cure on lithium.  {#Yawn}

I need some !@#$ing coffee now.

hmm, I guess this is not so bad.  I'll adjust my knee-jerk reaction rating to covers of songs I love.

3 {#Arrow} 7.
Don't quit your day job.
I like the interpretation.{#Clap}
Awesome follow up of...

Radio Citizen (feat. Bajka) - The Hop

with...

Elk City - Close To Me

NICE WORK Bill and Rebecca!  That transition alone is one of the reasons I love RP so much!
Bored...
I prefer the original...

Good stuff.  Like it.  You don't have to be dead to have people pay tribute to you.

I like it.  The album cover up there notes that The Wedding Present do a cover on the tribute as well, which got me to searching, and I found this page with streaming of all tracks.

Did MuzaK contract for more material?
Took me a second to realize what it was a cover of. Since I often don't like Smith's vocal style, this is an improvement in my ears.
Hmmm.... a tribute to the Cure.  That's like having a tribute to anything else I don't particularly care about.
They voice and the singing just does not do it for me
Want.....
Hmmm....don't know about this....a little too soporific for me.
