Sleep child, there's more that you can do when you're not in the middle of it
sleep child, there's twine and sap that bind the lines on the map of our town
from the icehouse down now, you can sleep every night in my arms

steal child, steal every blink and breath from now to the veil of your death
steal child, steal every line or verse and keys to the admirers of your curse
we're running the reels now, we can reenact every film that we've seen

ah ah ah ah aye
nah nah nah nah nah nah

we've run this blood as far as the abattoir
we've run this blood as far as the abattoir
we have slaughtered every night
we have slaughtered every night of our lives

sleep child, there's more that you can do when you're not in the middle of it
sleep child, there's more that you can do when you're not in the middle of it
I am incarcerated, I am in love with the shape of your eyes

ah ah ah eyes, ah ah ah eyes
ah ah ah-e-eyes, ah ah ah ah-eyes

Anybody have the lyric for this? Couldn't find 'em on the interwebs. A lot of the ballad-with-shock-value-lyrics thing going on with Portland artists, must be the cumulative effect of the rainy season.

You're such a child. ;-) ("Sleep Child")
Quite likeable.
A CRIME TO PRESS THIS SHIT ONTO A CD!
Guess who's been listening to too much 'James'
Quite likeable. Yes.
Seems underrated to me at 5 point something. Quite likeable, I say.
Not my cuppa. In the least.
The female singer sounds so much like the female vocalist from The Octoberists - could it be?
I'm falling asleep, Bill. Please liven things up abit...
Like this! Sounds a little like Elvis Perkins in Dearland.

*edit: second listen—sounds a LOT like Elvis Perkins. If you like this Mr. Goldsmith, you'll like that!
"this bar is the abbatoir"?  lends a new meaning to "meat market"
Word B&R!  Thanks for all the fresh new tracks!

Edit: That was neat. Thanks.

lol, I need to hear the lyrics again.
Luvin the drums at the end!
