It was the middle of the night
When she found there was something
On her mind
Pointless to fight, there was
Nothing to be done about the
Persistent nature of it
Emanating from the doorframe
Was a hum that grew into a roar
Followed by the light
Followed by the light
Followed by the terrible light

[Chorus]
In my life I've never seen
Anything quite like it
And I've been around for years.
With the eyes of a bird, me
And the nose of a fox, me
I'm prepared, but I'm scared
It's coming for me
(It's coming for me)

She was popular and pretty
Everybody knew her name
You couldn't count on the walls
Of the kitchen all the
Pictures in the golden frames
Oh the pictures in the golden frames
But she was followed by the light
Followed by the light
Swallowed by the terrible light

[Chorus]
In my life I've never seen
Anything quite like it
And I've been around for years
With the eyes of a bird, me
And the nose of a fox, me
I'm prepared, but I'm scared
It's coming for me

Woo-ooo...

Oh look into the Golden Frames
Step into the Golden Frames
Be careful of the Golden Frames

Not the best thing on Tiger Suit, but still good. Pretty chill.

Good point!

Sounds like KT done a bad bad thing…

Either KT is emulating Norah Jones, or vice versa. In many ways they are indistinguishable. They are good, but I am rather indifferent to them. Nothing happening here, keep moving.

To me KT is several orders of magnitude more interesting that Norah Jones, the appeal of whom has always escaped me.

Time to get that banana out of your ears

...wow - the opening of this track is sublime!..

BillG is king of the segue!
Purrfect pussy ... 🐯
Was supposed to see KT this month here in my humble hometown club.  Stupid coronavirus.

Nope, Seasick Steve.

Not just your internet connection… seems the end of track trigger signal appears soon after the synth solo.

uninspired and lame
Doesn't look like her. Is it?

I disagree, I'm afraid. This is a highly polished and commercial album, and pretty good (I'll be shelling out on it), but I miss the wee lassie from Fife with her guitar and belting voice. Her first 2 CDs were terrific. There's a bit too much polish and production on this CD for my liking, as a fan of KT. Still, I hope it brings her success as she is a very good singer/songwriter, and Fife's best cultural export since Ian Rankin and King Creosote (a mate of hers, btw). 7 from the Nottingham jury.

I'm in agreement with you on this. I do like, but not as much as earlier stuff.

Best KT to date. Not usually a huge fan.

Just caught the end of this....
The novelty of Tiger Suit has worn off.

4 songs a day? you give her too much credit...
don't you think so?

commercial radio? hm...
seems to me like you are sponsored by KT Tunstall...

lets face it, she isn't janis joplin....

Thank goodness for that.  One Janis Joplin was more than enough.

Seasick Steve!

Bill, two tracks with KT on in the space of 30 minutes! You're spoiling us...

{#Bananapiano} because it's not used enough ;-)

Is that Nick Cave in the background?
Lots of different moods in here. I like it.
Nice to hear something new from KT
Cool!  I hope we hear more from this album.  Thanks for sharing!  7
Nice voice, sounds a little like Jill Barber.
