Help comes when you need it most
I'm cured for laughter
Mood swings not sure I can cope
My life's in plaster (in plaster)

May your mind set you free
(Opened by the wonderful)
May your heart lead you on
May your mind let you breathe all of disaster
(Opened by the wonderful)
May your heart lead you on

These wounds are all self-imposed
Life's no disaster, disaster
All roads lead unto death-row
Who knows what's after?

May your mind be wide open
May your heart beat strong
May your mind's will be broken
By this heart-felt song
May your mind set you free
(Be opened by the wonderful)
May your heart lead you on
May your mind let you breathe all of disaster
(Be opened by the wonderful)
May your heart lead you on, may your heart lead you on
May your eyes let you see all of disaster
May your heart lead you on, lead you on
(May your eyes be opened by the wonderful)

Set you free
(May your heart lead you on)
Lead you on

For some reason we never hear Blue Rodeo on RP. A shame as they are such an iconic Canadian band.

This goes in one ear and out the other without leaving any trace of its passing. To quote the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy entry on Earth: "mostly harmless". Better than Vogon poetry, I suppose...

Appropriate words from the Nottingham jury.  Wonder  where he's gotten off to?
Terrific,more James please👍
the strawbs?

the strawbs...ah
Wondering if one can call the band "Jim" once one becomes familiar...

Is this an alternate/album version? Sounds different to the track I'm used to.... Additional twangy guitar..

Quite a lot better, actually...
Mid 80's Fleetwood Mac vibe/ influenced.

Pretty decent and interesting track.
I like the brit sound of the 80's like Travis etc.

Funny, I was thinking "what a lazy  cover shot".

What do *you* think it is?
This is a perfect song.
Love this Song....gosh.....1996?? 21 years...unbelievable!  May your mind be set free....
This should be part of the thematic soundtrack for the life and times of my ex-girlfriend.  I've made a mental note to share it should the opp arise.

Rarely have I seen an album cover less suited to an artist. But somehow, it works...
Love this song - turned on to the (preferred) live version by RP years ago.  thanks
"...may your mind be wide open, may your heart beat strong..." {#Wink} great song Bill!
{#Clap}
Man, I always think that is "Hole"
Not sure about this one...
Bloc Party, James... moving from strength to strength, Bill!
Love James {#Hearteyes}
Ahhhhhhh......  I'm still riding the pleasure high of finally seeing them perform live!  Exactly one month + one day ago.  {#Jump}
I like the music a lot more than I like his voice or that cover picture!

Who doesn't like James?  Even just occasionally?  I suppose someone does not because all music is inherently subjective, but James is at least a mildly unique vocal and musical experience.   Enjoy.  Enjoy.

Yay you. Geez. {#Doh} Do you have an actual comment about this song? Because I'm not gonna give you a diploma for just showing up to class.

Why not?  They hand out trophies just for participating.

Sounds totally different to the version I'm used to - still good though

Love these guys, always a great live show.  The live CD is outstanding, a real exhibit of their talent.
This kinda flows along nicely.  I really cant say much for that cover picture, though.

Nice! Feels very suitable for the solstice. {#Good-vibes}
