Michael lived on the other side
Dreamed he was an only child
Wake up screaming in the middle of night
Danced with the devil on the dark side

We got married in a Vegas bar
With confetti on the dance floor
No tin cans trailing from behind a car
Throwing quarters out the back door

Sing me to sleep tonight
Sing me to sleep tonight
No memory tonight
Sing me to sleep tonight

Under cover
One of the other

Sing me to sleep tonight
(I wanna hold you but it's just too late now)
Sing me to sleep tonight
(I wanna hear you say it's all gonna be alright)
No memory tonight

Sing me to sleep tonight

I just figured out that this was Neko a few weeks ago.  She is fantastic.
Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazelwood some years ago?

Love both Fran and Neko! This is great!
This is trippy and cool.

Please play more.

It's August and it's hot.

And tonight...will see Umphrey McGee at outdoor venue!!!!

First live show in 22 months!!!!!!!

Nemo reminds of a turbo charged Mazzy Star on this track, quite nice
And then an angel sang

RP playlist is outstanding this morning. I love this song. Never heard it before, cracker.
This song has taken a few listens forme to get into. I decide I'm really enjoying it now so I go to the site to rate it, only to discover that Nico Case is the duet! Sometime you get the clever stuff and miss the obvious. Sometimes your just thick!

Definitely.  Neko steals this one.
very, very nice indeed!

Oooh yes, VERY nice! My first time hearing this. Neko is instantly recognizable on every song where she contributes vocals, and always a warm, welcome, smile-inducing presence. Postscript: silly me... I thought the head shot on the cover was Daniel Day Lewis when I first pulled up this info!
This is a very good song to start with, but, wow, Neko takes it to the next level. Every time, I'm struck by how well they do on this one...
Neko Case sounds like butter on this.
love this song!
Come on, Bill. Still tryin' to work here!
Love me a bit of Travis
Gunsmoke gray skies and the rain falling down, this the picture being expressed outside my window right now..  This is a perfect compliment to its, and my, mood at the moment.  Now all I need is the  {#Cheers} but it's way too early in the day for that sort of thing.  Heh!

Highlow
American Net'Zen
This one always requires me to pause and listen. That hypnotic rhythm meshed with the smooth voices ... oh yeah.

As a compliment to Bill and RP I have not gotten much done since 6:45 EDT.  But I have rated songs and commented so I Guess all is right.

I prefer his Travis time

{#Sunny}  lazie Summery dag!
Is it only me or his voice sounds like Bono Vox's voice?

Odd mix to my ears.  I'd like to hear the "drums" taken right down and the guitars brought forward a bit.  But that's why I'm not earning the big bucks as a producer, I suppose.

+1. That hihat is particularly annoying. Spoils the entire beautiful song in my humble opinion.
I'm really space out whenever i hear this song. Not unlike when I hear Jessica (Allman Brothers) or Layla (Derek & Dominoes).

Is there some kind of subconscious groove going on here? Like a dog whistle?

does anyone know if it is a drum machine or not?  certainly sounds like it.. is that what our future is going to be like when the droids start singing us to sleep?  gulp.. it's kind of seductive.. I sort of like .....   it.......
I really feel I don't want to like this, given his previous work and the drum machine (and the 'radio' production values), yet I do. Rather a lot.

Nice mood.

Nail firmly hit on the head
First time I heard of his solo stuff, not bad at all. Thanks RP
You are killin' it today Bill!{#Cheers}
Neko Case adds a sultry beauty where ever she raises her loverly voice.
There are times, and this is a prime example, where the addition of percussion/drumming is not really adding anything worthwhile to a piece. If indeed this is a machine, that is further questionable. I like this song though.
I wunder if it's a drum machine? Yeah
no wonder I like this so much....he was the lead singer for travis. Awesome.
Drum machine.
For me the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.
Neko can sing me to sleep anytime she likes.
This is a off-center, beautiful, trippy, harmonic/melodic groovy kind of song.
there's just something really nice about this song.
"w/ Neko Case" works better than just "Neko Case".  Her vocals here are pleasant unlike some of the painful anguished yodels she does on her own tracks.
Very Cool

"W/ Neko Case" always wins.
more beautiful music - thank you Bill and RP.... {#Cheers}
very nice!
8 ----> 9
{#Sunny}

Neko's voice pulls me in every time... fantastic song.

Good voice work and track layering...but the unvarying software percussion beats gets annoying quickly.

...5.
Incredible!
{#Kiss} ..... luv it 8 >>>>>>>>> 9
Love it.
This is a such a freakin cool, trippy, melodic, harmonic, song.

And just like that..it's gone. Poof. Like gossamer.

Now I hear it, too (thanks a lot), but still liking the song.  So far, this has been the only Neko tune I can tolerate.

Try "Deep Red Bells" - she has the same tonal/atonal delivery there, but it hangs together nicely.
I'm smitten.......
Beautiful harmonies.
Never get tired of this one.

This song is soooo smooth and beautiful...  love this marvelous song...  sigh...

Yes...this is a fantastic song. Cool...intense....trippy...silky...ooh.
this song is absolutely brilliant and personally  i love it i have a good memories on it.love the videoclip and the blend of voices of Fran and Neko is just fantastic...so enjoy it {#Angel}
This is one of those songs that occupies its own special place in the Pantopikum of moods/times/places. Always takes me to exactly that same place every time I hear it.

(yeah that drumming doesn't fit at all... funny how you don't hear it till someone points it out).

Eek. Neko always sings just slightly flat. Fran seems to be right on key. The combination does not make for comfortable close harmonies.

I wish I couldn't hear it, because it's not a bad song.

I couldn't place the male voice. One google later... Ahhh the dude from Travis.
Yes, very good. Like it.

It's a good tune, but perhaps the drum machine could have been set or mixed differently.  I actually didn't think about it until I read you comment.  It's not so bad, though.

In my ears the beats are too synthetic as stated before, maybe a "real" drummer could bring some more.. let's say freshness?
Good stuff!  How is the rest of the disc?  Any fans out there....
It's nice hearing Neko doing a duet! Gawd, I love her!

Quite relaxing. I can imagine driving home from a tough day at work on a hazy afternoon listening to this.
I sure wish Bill would play another song from this album. I like this, but it'd be nice to hear something else by him. Anyone own it and want to upload another song? Please?

I really like this, it has an insidious "Less is more" feel to it.
that's a handsome face.

and, i like this song a good bit.
Very nice !
This is as good as it gets folks!
Sublime...a late-night driving tune - windows wide open, way up loud!
I. Love. Neko. 2.

Got this on iTunes for free...months ago...Grows on you!
I knew, when I saw Neko's name in the title, that I was going to like this tune.  Nice little groove.  Her voice works well under Healy's.

Going to go listen to the rest of the album... brb...  ^_^

I love Fran's voice. Haven't heard this song before and I really like it.

As always, thanks RP!
After having this song stuck in my head for days, I bought the album.  This song is my favorite, but it's definitely a solid album.

Melodic duet,...but Neko makes the song.  An 8 for now, maybe later...
Nice~

LOVE LOVE. Didn't know he was the lead singer of Travis (who occupies a Pandora station on my phone)... apparently my google fu is weak.

Also love Neko and this song is very melodic and (as someone mentioned below) the syncopated beat is nice.

She saves this song.

But Neko is best when she belts it out.

This arrangement lacks energy and is a little repetitive.

Total fuggin' ditto.

Fran Healy is not riding Neko's (presumably lovely) coattails - he was (is?) lead singer of a band called Travis, who have a song called "Sing" that I really love - a full on 10.
