Shouldn't have got so loaded
Damn near explode
Oh, you know
I should've known this

Whatever the price is
Whatever the crisis
Oh please, don't leave me
To my own devices
Please don't leave me
To my own devices

She was a pretty good waitress
Said she waited on Elvis
Said she talks too much

Please don't leave me
To my own devices

Saving up for a rainy day
It just rained yesterday

a somewhat week and lame attempt to sound like Big Star. i must agree with most listeners in stating that Soul Asylum is just not beyond average.
btw: what about Big Star on RP? i cannot remember having heard one single song for months. did i ever?
so, please more BS

I can hear the influence.  Some Big Star would be soooo cool, Bill.  Do you have any?
Thanks for the flashback!

This sounds pretty good!
I used to listen to this cassette in the car, my son had it. I grew to like it and took him to see them in concert, was excellent!
Never liked them and still don't....
Wow, haven't listened to this one in ages! I used to love this album. Still pretty good stuff...
